No no, strings are indicative of yarn. Yarn is indicative of sewing. Therefore, girls associate string theory with sewing, a traditional and WRONG, do you hear me WRONG, chore of women. Just cause the weaker sex was to lazy to spend hours in spinebending work meant our foremothers had to suffer. And string theory is CLEARLY a continuation of this.

We should name it some thing nuetral, Like Men are Weak and Should Bow to Us.... um, theory.

(sarcasm)

"A lot of the style is very macho, and that can be off-putting to young women, and 'big bang' is just another little grain of sand in that big sandbox."

Uh, I'm female and fail to understand why the term 'big bang' would be offensive to women. Does she understand the theory? Apparently not.

Big Bang. As is guns and tanks and explosions. And as this non sexist shows, that is clearly aimed toward boys.

Regarding: ""Egalitarian parents can bring up their children so that both boys and girls play with dolls and trucks."

I did that, and my daughter told me that she had watched me do the professional woman/single parent thing and she thought it was not worth it. She announced that she wanted to be a trophy wife and then married the vp of her company. She is now a stay-at-home mom.

There are a lot of activists posing as academics who really don't belong on a faculty. Renaming the Big Bang is not a serious intellectual pursuit. Sommers made this point when he chased off Cornell West, and I support him in that.

Must have worked as a learning aid, haven't forgot over these last 40 years.

I have been enjoying being a full-time househusband and pajama blogger since late January. I could do this forever! However my wife doesn't think so. Alas, I start a new job next Monday.

She wants all children to be socialized to androgyny. "Egalitarian parents can bring up their children so that both boys and girls play with dolls and trucks."

I believe she is being dishonest. True fems want girls to play with dolls and trucks, and boys to just play with dolls.

A lot of the girls I went to school with would choose the "big bang" over science...

Some feminazis DO object to the word Seminar - they insist on using Ovular instead! Incredible!
Seminar comes from Latin semen - seed,
Ovular (no such word) is falsely derived from Latin ovum - egg.
How much they hate men!
