I am with you... this whole thing has us all in turmoil.
I shudder to think what will happen if federal troops, US Marshals, or the Secret Service are called in to take Terri away. While I am heartly sorry for what has happened to Terri Schiavo, the aftermath of such an action would be far worse.
BTW - Think about this: The NT Times is advocating killing handicapped people, UNLESS they have committed murder or some violent crime. Think about that twisted logic.
I've been thinking the same thing but if they do they had better act darned fast.
Whittemore probably posts at DU, where they consider Terri Sciavo an "animated corpse".
FYI DOJ doc filed for Terri...

Let me find my decoder ring.
How about deeply sadddened and outraged? Would that be enough?
I hope her husband at least offers Terri a sponge soaked in wine and bile.
"
Terri is NOT Jesus! For pete's sake.
No, Terri is not Jesus. However, she is carrying her Cross. Such a sad day in my country. I would expect this in China, but not here.
I agree with you there -- in the end the Left will pay for this as the American people are forced to come face to face with what they stand for and that includes Shays and the other four Republicans that voted for Death.
*bump* Thanks for the link to the DOJ brief.
Couple places (note that it is "gall" not bile; not sure if I have my bodily fluids mixed up):
Matthew:
32As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross. 33They came to a place called Golgotha (which means The Place of the Skull). 34There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it.
There is also this, but here Jesus drinks, so this is later:
John:
28Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, I am thirsty. 29A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips. 30When he had received the drink, Jesus said, It is finished. With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Mark
36One man ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down, he said. 37With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.
I stand with you there -- anything that is done has to be under the Constitution no matter how much I want to see Terri live and have a chance. We cannot lower the bar when it comes to observing the Constitution -- we have to stand for something and our leaders stood on the side of Life while still obeying the Constitution. That is all I can ask and maybe this will wake some folks up when the Dems try to stall the judicial nominees and become involved instead of spouting rhetoric on here.
We do not need any more activists judges -- they must rule on what is before them even if we don't like the ruling.
"What you did to the least of my brethren you did unto me."
The GOP is "disappointed"? Not even a little outraged?
Well said, jeremiah.
Thanks! I knew of when he drank from the sponge on the cross, but didn't remember the prior section where he did not drink. I think gall is bile.
In further follow up --- this is a murder by judicial system that literally washed its hands of the matter --- refusing to hear evidence --- even when they had to know (e.g., the affidavits of nurses, et al) that they were doing wrong.
Comparing the Federal Court to Pilate --- who basically did not want to get involved --- is very fair.
I don't agree, if the "polls" are any indication. They all speak to the overwhelming majority of Americans who don't think the federal gov't should be involved. It may come back to bite the GOP.
"judicial system that literally washed its hands of the matter "
And the Supreme Court is going to do the same.
