Who in the Balkans wants to destroy America?
serbianna ^ | March 23, 2005 | Miroljub Jevtic, Ph.D.

The news that a group of mujahadeens headed for Osama bin Laden’s jihad were captured on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan would be nothing new, had the Pakistani authorities not announced that one of them was an Albanian citizen. Clearly, Clinton’s cooperation with Balkan Islamists in the 1990s is only now turning like a boomerang against the US. While the official affront is that Bosnian Muslims and Albanians are American allies in the war on terror, the US forces are tied up in Bosnia monitoring and chasing the jihadists who have made Bosnia and Albanian inhabited areas in the Balkans their domicile. Overtly then, Balkan Muslims are supporting the West, while covertly they may seek destruction of it.

The American strategists believed that by caving into territorial demands Balkan Muslims are making, the newly established Islamic entities will, because of the American influence and endorsement of it, be a model to the Islamic world, showing the right political path. The Christians of Bosnia, for example, are increasingly being centralized under Islamic authority; Christian Croats are spliced within Muslim federation and dominated by them while the Serbian entity is under tremendous political pressure and may disappear. Meanwhile, Bosnian Muslims want to offer Muslim Turks a dual citizenship because they consider these centuries old occupiers of Bosnia their liberators.

In Macedonia, likewise, the real masters of the situation are the Muslims Albanians who have placed the Christian Slavs there into virtual political ghettos.

Instead of showing themselves content with this, Balkan Muslims are not only setting out towards Islamizing their territories, but also towards actions aimed at America’s destruction.

Tradition has it that the most extreme Islamists among Slavic Muslims in the Balkans are from the Raska district, i.e. from Tutin, Novi Pazar and Rozaj so one is to expect extremist Imams to come from this region. Yet, the Islamic extremism and open attacks on the US that is spreading among the Balkan Muslims is preached by an Imam, who is not a native of Novi Pazar, nor of Sarajevo, but is an ethnic Albanian from village of Orahovac in Kosovo. This Imam, Bugari, is a hodja of the White mosque in Vratnik, known as the most Muslim part of Sarajevo.

Ironically, the fiercest fighter of jihad has not turned up from the middle of Bosnia with its numerous Islamic top ranking religious schools, but from Albanian dominated Kosovo, busy teaching the Bosnians in the midst of Sarajevo what real Islam is.

Says Bugari: “The speech of the sword is more sincere than that of the letter. Its blade lies between seriousness and jest. The whiteness of the sword, not the blackness of the letters, for its back knows no rust of doubt’.

Continues he: “The status of Muslims cannot be improved by papers. This doesn’t work. It is well known what can improve the status of Muslims worldwide. How was it improved at first? By taking Islam to all places. By convincing people that only God Allah exists.”

Bugari concludes with a call to violence: “By purifying the heart of all idols, and then, if necessary, by the jihad. And jihad was necessary and will be necessary! Don’t think that we can survive in any other way, except by these three things: faith, economics and responding to Allah when the time for jihad comes”.

“[T]aking Islam to all places”, including the US is the obligation of every Muslim, preaches Bugari.

This Albanian Muslim Imam is also an avid anti-Semite. Says Bugari: “Americans rule the world, and so do the Jews. With the Americans’ help, they have again outsmarted the entire world, especially the economy. We consume American-Jewish products every day. We drink their ‘Coca-Cola’ and their ‘Pepsi’, we use their banks, buy their weapons, their ‘Nikes’ and various other products. Imagine how many ‘cokes’ a billion and a half Muslims drink every day. According to some data, 700 million ‘Coca-Colas’ every day, and you know well that 10 percent of every ‘Coca-Cola’ goes to Israel”.

The Jew-hating Albanian Burguri attributes Islamic inability to legitimize their land conquests in the Balkans on the damnation Allah bestowed on Balkan Muslims because they relied on Americans. “We have indeed asked them for help during the war, and we have started to improve.” says Burguri. “The Serbs are running away as they can, and we say: Come, Americans, and lend us a hand. This is why Allah is now punishing us.”

Finally Burguri sides with Al-Qaeda by accusing America for holding 6 Algerian Bosnians in Guantanamo. “Now they will come and chase the Algerian group to Cuba, then they will chase Imad El-Mis’ri, then they will chase Fiusanin ..”

Among those who were placed under surveillance by the authorities and arrested in Bosnia because of their make-believe humanitarian work that was a cover-up for the terrorist logistic base, an ethnic Albanian was again identified. His name is Durguti. Once more we have someone coming from the town of Orahovac in Kosovo, where Bugari is also from. This may suggest that Orahovac Albanians in Kosovo may be the leading cadre of terrorist recruits, European by race, recruited by al-Qaeda in order to be trained and easily bland in the western societies to conduct terrorist killings.

Those who were to be allies of the US have thus shown their gratitude. Even to the author of this text, who has always been pointing out the dangers, all this seems odd. It would have been logical for the Albanian Muslims to show more patience until the creation of Greater Albania (thanks to the American tax payers’ money) before revealing their true face. But no, they seem unable to wait, for their ultimate objective is not just Greater Albania, but through it, they wish to destroy the US and Israel, and then all remaining non Islamic political systems in the world.

These two cases of Albanian involvement in Islamic terrorism indicate CIAs erroneous evaluation of the impact the Islamic presence has in the Balkans. The way Islamic Imams of the Balkans reason and thus teach their faithful flock is that Americans are worse then Serbs, that Americans have been used to defeat Serbs and take away their land but now, once used, time has come for America to pay the price for being Christian. This is how Imam Bugari’s thinks, and this is how his captured compatriot in Pakistan, logistics militant Duguti also thinks.

American analysts who might be reading this will behave like the entire administration, based on the presumption that Bugari is an exception to the rule and that the remaining Albanian and Bosnian Moslems are different. Indeed. Bugari was allegedly condemned by the leadership of the Islamic community of the Raska (Sanjak) district but the fact that they issued a simple verbal statement of condemnation and left him to preach hate is more of a sign of Community’s tacit support for extremism then any exceptionality.

According to the Statute of the Sanjak Islamic Community, this Community is an integral part of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Hercegovina so Burguri is under the jurisdiction of the Bosnian reis-ul-ulem Mustafa Ceric, who recently visited UK. According to Bosnian reis-ul-ulem Mustafa Ceric Burguri “is distorting the Muslim message and Islam” and is using his office for “poisoning with untruths the young, who are rushing to hear him pronounce the above mentioned phrases”. This may indeed be empty rhetoric because the Chief Imam left Burguri to preach his message of hate and by leaving Burguri to preach, the highest Islamic authority in the Balkans is in effect endorsing Burguri’s terrorist preaching.

Musafa Ceric may not have been able to remove Burguri because the rest of the imams in the council might also think the same, but are not bold enough to shout it out loud as Burguri does. Even the reis-ul-ulem of Bosnia who received the “UNESCO award for peace” has declared himself an “Islamic fundamentalist”, just as Bugari. It is also Ceric who, with his authority, approves texts which appear in the official papers of the Islamic Community where exactly the same things are being written on jihad as the ones Bugari is saying. How can the US condemn someone now, after having awarded a Muslim for similar speech only a few months ago alleging his struggle for peace?

While the reis enjoys the prestige of a peacemaker, Bugari, on Ceric’s behalf, calls for jihad against those who are turning Ceric into a peacemaker.

The case of the Pakistani arrest, Burguri and Draguti illustrate the increasing Albanian involvement into the worldwide network of Islamic jihad. In fact, the German Secret Services BND found that an Albanian of Austrian citizenship, certain Samedin Dzezairi, is a an Al Quaeda contact person for the Balkans.

The fact that the man arrested in Pakisan is a native of Albania and not Kosovo is also an indicator of the degree of radicalization that a previously atheist Muslims of Albania are undergoing. When, after forty years of brutal communist and anti-religious policy, somebody manages to get involved with the Al Quaeda on his way to struggle for Islam, this shows more than anything else how strong Islam among Albanians in the Balkans.

Then we wonder why are Christian churches raised in Kosovo?

>>>>In the USA it is written that way in books, news articles, and official correspondence & documents.<<<<

Kosovar means nothing in English. In Albanian language means "Kosovoan/Kosovan". Last time I checked Albanian language was not an official language in U.S.A. and there is no reason why albanian word should be used in official U.S. documents when English word exist. Americans do not call Albania Shqipnia (Albania in Albania, there is no valid reason why Albanian word "kosovar" is used enstead of English. You do not say "Kosovac" and "Kosovski Albanians" in English text.

The logic behind pushing 'kosovar' is creation of fake impression that Kosovo is country inhabited by "kosovar" people.

"Kosovar" is used to describe ALL inhabitants of Kosovo but ONLY Albanians call themselves this way. It as if all inhabitants of California were called Mexicans. When American media or Administration says "kosovars" it is CONDONING of RACISM and ethnic cleansing in Kosovo and direct support to terrorist aims. (it means "kosova for kosovars" ie. "Kosovo for Albanians")

It would be interesting to track down when this 'kosovar' ploy entered into U.S. usage. I guess it has to do something with Bob Dole's and Dioguardi's shilling for Albanian heroin cartel and their sham resolution for 'free kosova' back in the 1980s when Albanian communists were in power in Kosovo and harrased Serbs.

The "killed and missing" covers at least a three year time frame - much of it after NATO's war when the KLA was going on a killing spree. The official missing list covers January 1998 - December 2000. So you see, they were still counting people who were kidnapped and killed 1 1/2 years after that war was over.

Futher, many of the ethnic Albanians were killed by the KLA who murdered those who differed politically (loyal to Yugoslavia or not Serb haters, for example) and rivals. There were also many Roma (Gypsies) killed by Albanians yet put on lists by Albanians as Albanians killed by Serbs. The Roma of Kosovo often had Albanian names.

Wraith was a British soldier in Pristina after the war and says the KLA had a policy of liquidating witnesses.

Several of the KLA leadership, have been in the last year or so, accused (and some convicted) of kidnapping and killing fellow Albanians - including the recent Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj. He just went to the Hague where he is accused of killing both Albanians and Serbs before, during and after the war.

Also, the ethnic violence was begun by the KLA who started to kill Serb police. Before the KLA, ethnic murders perpetrated by Serbs on Albanians were next to nothing, if not nothing at all.

The KLA did kill Serb civilians too and not just police. They threw handgrenades into a cafe killing around 7 Serb teenagers a few months before NATO decided to help them win Kosovo all for themselves. NBA basketball player Vlade Divac adopted a 4-month-old girl in February 1999, before NATO strikes. Her parents had been killed by the KLA when they were on their way to the market. But you don't hear that reported in the news.

That is what I remember. The rest became sort of fuzzy because so many groups were killing others and the players seemed to change daily. I also recall the comments that these groups had fought among themselves throughout history but then heard that they had peacefully coexisted for recent years until these "terrorists" provoked the Serbs. The Serb reaction to me seemed reasonable, not unlike what Israel, Russia, and even the U.S. are doing.

That is why, after the fact, I came to believe that Bill Clinton played this to his advantage, first by a media buildup about Serb genocide on the Muslims, mass graves, etc., to pave the way for intervention to protect and save the Muslims. His my opinion of his motives I stated earlier.

Thanks for your historical perspective.

As an American and as a career military officer, I cannot allow this to pass. It is a lie and an insult to every brave and honorable American soldier to compare what we have done in Afghanistan and Iraq to what the Serbs did in Kosovo. When the American Army starts lining up civilians by the dozen and shooting them, when it uses its vehicles to carry off the loot from robbing the homes of the local people, when it drives the majority of the populace from their homes to live in refugee camps, when it starts raping the women, burning the houses, slaughtering the livestock, dynamiting the mosques, and bulldozing villages to the ground--then start comparing the US Army with the Serbs.

Sorry, that was certainly not a comparison I intended to make. My intent was to say that they were reacting to the barbarity of the terrorist. However, the USA, and no one else, seems to be doing it in an honorable way. Russia, et al. are fighting barbarity with barbarity.

No one surpasses my respect for the US military and I am sorry I did not comunicate better. What you object to was simply not something I would even think.

Mark, Serbia and America were allies in two world wars and during The Cold war. Let's make some comparrisons among the former and future allies:

As an officer and gentleman, you must be familiar with this report

There is another village, in another timezone and 31 years later, called VOKERIT (WALKER'S VILLAGE) where events have uncanny resemblance to the ones described in the report above. I can say that the conduct was similar.

Perhaps because the war is hell, especially when terrorists and insurgents use civilians as a cover and use civilan garb to hide themselves. In both cases, reason for action was murder of fellow soldier.

There were some difference. The number of weapons found in SON MY was 2. The number of weapons found in VOKERIT was much higher. During operation in VOKERIT there were no orders like ones in SON MY.

I have deliberately used the names SON MY instead of better known MY LAI and VOKERIT instead of RACAK to help you avoid kneejerk raction.

As an career American Officer you have to be a gentleman. It is not easy but it is what is required and expected.

"There are certain moral attributes common to the ideal officer and the perfect gentleman, a lack of which is indicated by acts of dishonesty, unfair dealing, indecency, indecorum, lawlessness, injustice, or cruelty. Not everyone is or can be expected to meet unrealistically high moral standards, but there is a limit of tolerance based on customs of the service and military necessity below which the personal standards of an officer, cadet, or midshipman cannot fall without seriously compromising the person’s standing as an officer, cadet, or midshipman or the person’s character as a gentleman. This article prohibits conduct by a commissioned officer, cadet or midshipman which, taking all the circumstances into consideration, is thus compromising. This article includes acts made punishable by any other article, provided these acts amount to conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman. Thus, a commissioned officer who steals property violates both this article and Article 121. Whenever the offense charged is the same as a specific offense set forth in this Manual, the elements of proof are the same as those set forth in the paragraph which treats that specific offense, with the additional requirement that the act or omission constitutes conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman."

Let me remind what is considered ungentlemanly conduct: ...knowingly making a false official statement;...cheating on an exam; ...using insulting or defamatory language to another officer in that officer’s presence or about that officer to other military persons; ...public association with known prostitutes;

Gentlemanly conduct is to say "I am sorry, I made a mistake" when one makes public mistake and embarrass Corps by his ungentlemanly conduct.

What will you do?

Joan you are right on the money in regards to the real reality of what was going on in Kosovo. The KLA and associated criminal groups eat their own and continue to do so. Killing the remaining Serbs is nothing but sport in order to grab the remaining real estate. The US do not know what they have played with and it continues to get out of control. P.S. I was a bit more than just a British soldier....

Clinton bombed Beograd without UN consent, and nobody on the left or MSM made noise about it.

Actually the A.N.S.W.E.R kooks were against the bombing. A blind squirrel found a nut.

We have heard of unintended consequences. Well, these were intended consequences. The Clintons have always favored the Muslims against the U.S. but for different reasons. Hillary's are ideological and Bill's are personal.

You were saying something about being a bit more than your average soldier Wraith.

Yet your substandard efforts in the insult department only point to your being nothing more than an internet commando - and not a very mature or linguistically skilled one at that.

C'mon - you once told me you were almost sent to a REFORGER back in the late '70's. I thought it strange at the time that you subsequently asked me if I had ever played "Crimson Skies". (What's a 40 year old dude doing playing kid's games?)

But changing the paradigm from you being legit to just some punk kid looking to glom on to some cred by claiming imaginary military service makes a damn sight more sense, especially since you persist in basing a good portion of your insult repertoire upon the notion that I'm older than you.

I think I am older than you, Wraith, and that has some damning implications as to your veracity.

So I ask you again: tell me about your military service.

8 years total - '85-'93. Started out as a Reserve 12B, went active duty from '87-'91 as an 11B, served at Benning and Bonifas, went to the Cal Guard and worked full time counternarcotics for a year and deployed down to the LA Riots where I most memorably guarded a Popeye's Chicken.

Now then, since I'm not basing my relevancy to this thread's conversation upon my service, perhaps you'd be objective enough to go ask wraith about his service.

Thanks.

DTA, the My Lai example is one that Serb war crime deniers or apologists have brought up before. First, My Lai was a crime and a shame to the United States Army. However, unlike the Serb atrocities in Kosovo--such as the massacre of the Albanians at Racak--nobody that I know of is denying it or trying to explain it away.

In fact the link you provided is to a transcript of the Peers report detailing what happened at My Lai--a U.S. Army document prepared by Lieutenant General Peers who was directed to investigate the massacre by the Chief of Staff of the Army. That the Army appointed one of its highest ranking members to conduct an investigation and he produced the very candid report you referenced that was highly critical of members of the Army up through general officer level shows how seriously the U.S. Army regarded the situation. Perhaps you could point me to the Serb equivalent for any part of the much more extensive depredations in Kosovo?

Further, the Army took action. The platoon leader and company commander were court-martialed with the platoon leader convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. The company commander was tried for murder and found not guilty--the prosecution over-reached with murder--if he'd been tried for dereliction of duty, he'd have been found guilty and put away for a long time. The battalion commander was saved from disgrace & court martial as he was killed in Viet Nam. The Division Commander-who's offense was insufficient vigor in investigating the crime--was later relieved of command, demoted two ranks, and forced out of the Army.

I have never met another Army officer who agreed with President Nixon's decision to parole the platoon leader and cease work on the remaining prosecutions. If it was up to the U.S. Army, Lieutenant Calley would still be in prison along with several of his cohorts.

Now, DTA, what's the Serb excuse? You've got thousands of Albanian bodies--to include close to a thousand hidden on Serb special police training area near Belgrade where they were re-buried after being dug up from massacre sites in Kosovo and trucked away to Serbia. When is some good and honest senior leader from Serbia--whether it be from the Army or civil life--going to step forward and lay out the truth and at least try to force some accountability for all the crimes?
