"Just a few words about our favorite warrior If you ask her, SGT Ann Olson will tell you shes from just about anywhere South Carolina, Virginia, and occasionally, Wisconsin. She joined the United States Army in 2000 at age 21, figuring that life just isnt complete without an occasional controlled blast or the opportunity to accessorize in green whenever one wants. Duty called on Christmas Eve, 2004 four days later, Ann boarded a plane bound for Kuwait, and found herself in the desert south of the Iraqi border in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Today, SGT Olson is serving with the 457th Transportation Battalion, 1173rd Transportation Company (LSA Anaconda) in Balad, Iraq. Aside from the occasional mortar attack, Anns real concern lies in the absence of what she calls home stuff good macaroni & cheese, movie theatres without bomb-proof walls, and most of all, cherry crème soda. SGT Olson is due home from her tour of duty in Iraq around Christmas, 2005. Upon fulfilling her military obligations, she plans to complete her degree in architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University until then, we send her our love, support, prayers, and some Glacier Brewing Company Cherry Crème Soda as a reminder of home."

Nice to see that someone in the business world is kind hearted!
Nice to see that some people try to help the troops.
I'm not sure if the format (plus keywords) is right---if not would you please correct?
Thanks!
Cherry Creme pop ping!
THANKS!!!!!
good one on the brewing company
Yup!
the Doc was passing through Polson and asked the company about sending the pop to her---they said "sure" and said they would do it free.
She Gets it early next week according to my family.
If she needs/wants anything else give me a call -- I love sending care packages.
Among the stuff she wants is Macaroni-and-cheese.
I remember during Desert Shield and Desert Storm my EOD team was well supplied with gedunk by Gary Owens Meats in Washington State and the Ladies at the Collins Street Bakery in Corsicana Texas..........Bless em all !
It was a big deal to us then and I'll take those memories of their kindness to my grave. Great Americans !
Stay safe !
I remember when I was aboard USS GREENLING and a local paper heard we were coming back after a long deploy.
All we wanted was a REAL pizza...and a local pizza place delivered a zillion of them, with pop to wash it all down.
You said it right "Bless 'em!"
All the best to ya!
Back at ya !..........Stay safe !!
For us, it was a couple cases of Campbell's chicken noodle soup and tomato soup. Talk about a comfort food :)
Ahhhhhhh!
Campbell's Tomato soup--GOOD food!
Honestly the simplest things from home can make ya smile and feel better when up to yer hips in grenade pins.
For those who've never been there, no explanation is possible....... For those who have, no explanation is needed..........
Stay Safe Ya'll !
