Here's the latest from my son who is the only conservative columnist on the very liberal GWU
Hatchet.
He and some of his fellow college friends have started a conservative blog called: Save the GOP (www.savethegop.com). You might want to check it out.

As a member of GenX I say, "Let me out of SS. Keep all of my contributions and owe me nothing, just let me out now!"

Excellent piece...I hope more young people wake up
There is only one reason SS continues to exist and expand...seniors vote and young people don't

I should say though that I don't believe Bush's plan goes far enough. The accounts are not really "private" or "personal" so long as they are administered by the government. The only real solution to the Social Security fiasco is to get rid of it altogether...

"Let me out of SS. Keep all of my contributions and owe me nothing, just let me out now!"
Heck even get rid of that pesky income tax too.

What does the income tax have to do with generation X or social security?

Gen-x pays that too, Heck as long as we are suggesting things. I'd love to get rid of the income tax. I voiced in because I'm considered Gen-x as well, which is why it applies.
I am all for getting rid of the social security nonsense, but I've paid the maximum into the social security scam for many years now and I'd like to have it back, especially if the government is gonna renig on it. Tax free and with interest. Not under some silly put your money here 401k scam or be taxed threat either.

As a member of GenX I say, "Let me out of SS. Keep all of my contributions and owe me nothing, just let me out now!" I'm just barely an X'er, but I agree. I got my 40 quarters in and would be eligable. Keep what I've paid, I will make NO claims whatsoever against SS. Where do I sign?

Have you seen the pathetic and laughable AARP commercial that attack President Bush's Soc Sec reform plan? They (the adverts) demonstrate the blinkard pig ignorance of those who want to preserve the SS pyramid scheme.

so when is the Gen Xers going to stand up to the baby booming libs and tell them to go @#$# themselves? Well, right now they're our bosses. We need 'em to retire first, the we'll cut off all their benefits at our expense and put 'em in the poorhouse! And one day I'll rule the world! Muhahahaha.
Well, ok, maybe not. It would be nice to figure out a way to pay 'em off and get out from under the bottom of the Pyramid. Generation Y and Generation XXL(after the Ys), will be around after the fall, and I don't for a second figure they're gonna pay us.
