I suspect she may be agenda driven.
Either side of any issue is agenda driven.
Sometimes it's better that way. I missed a close personal dying moment for much the same reasons, and I never regretted it. Never even thought about much until now, it seemed like a normal circumstance to me.
this is exactly what happened to my mother, she was responding well before that. I also know of two, no three, cases of elderly people, just up and dying and they were alert beforehand. Stay with your people in the hospital
The Americans won the battles but the Nazis won the war.
Interesting; so #4 (every hour on the hour) is how my father finished his last few days (at home hospice with the step-monster).
I think she means that an individual with a feeding tube only is not terminal, and hospices are intended for terminal patients in their last 5 to 6 months of life.

Excellent, thank you!
please ping when you return
Which clause of the Constitution is that found in?
Ping for later...
Say what you want about New York (where it would take days to make a decision of that importance) -- it was at that moment in Florida that my sister says knew she "wasn't in Kansas anymore."
Soon after, she retired, though she retains her license to be able to render care and advocacy for relatives and friends -- and believe me, if you're over 60 and seriously ill, you need an advocate in Florida.
It's in the declaration of independence, upon which principles this country was founded. The constitution was written specifically to reflect those principles.
In other words, you blew the cite. Here's a nickel's worth of free advice: don't try to be a lawyer.
Thanks be to God, I won't. As if that is even a profession to be held in high esteem.
The point is that the constitution was formed to back the Declaration of Independence. Lawyers, whether they recognize it or not, are under God's law, and without the recognition of the Kingship of Christ, and the indirect temporal power of the Roman Catholic Church, the Pope and his bishops, our country, as all countries, will continue the slide into Sodom and Gommorha.
And no attorney's accurate citations will keep us from going there.
But then again, this is supposed to be a commentary on the article, isn't it?
I guess you have none. I didn't know I was writing a research paper here, but perhaps you could be my teacher.
Does the Declaration of Independence mean anything to you?
Mershon, basically the same thing happened to my 88 yr old stepmother. Only she cracked her hip in August and didn't die until December. After the surgery at the hospital they sent her to the nursing home. She devoloped an anti-biotic resistant staph infection from having a catheter. Eventually the male nurse started asking about a DNR order. We said she didn't have one. Every time we would go to see her he would ask about the DNR order. He then started telling us how horrible it would be on her if they had to do CPR. He said at her age it could end up breaking lots of ribs and you just don't realize how awful it is to do that to people. Over and over he would ask us about it. Finally I got my dad talked into getting one, but then the problem was according to the head person, the DNR had to be signed by the patient. Well, she had been pretty much blind for a while, so I had to take the form into the room and I just told her it was so they knew how to care for her. I had to hold her hand and guide it so they had a signature on file.
I feel so guilty now, as I didn't realize that when they got that signature, it then gave them the license to then start killing her. Yes, the fluids are then withdrawn and morphine is started. Its funny how the male nurse knew about when it would happen.
