Yep. I didn't even give him (her?) a peep either. I wonder how long they can stand it before breaking out in some blatant personal attacks? Heh Heh Heh...

Most of the people on the border welcome this.

These people have to be stopped before someone gets hurt.

I agree. And the way to stop them is for the government to do its job so that these patriots don't have to do it for them.

Imagine if your fire department stopped responding to fire calls. I would be quite grateful and participate in a volunteer fire fighting brigade. Sure, it would be better if professionals handled the problem. But they're not.

Wake up. We're being invaded. Most Americans are too apathetic to do anything about it until the problem reaches critical mass. At that point it's too late.

What are you waiting for? For us to end up with a Kosovo type civil war on our hands?

Are you aware of how many millions of ILLEGAL aliens there are in the United States? What it is doing to health-care (insurance) costs? School districts? Prisons? Social service agencies?

You had better educate yourself about the extent of this problem before you criticize the Patriots who are trying to do something about it.

What makes them "kooks"?
Is it that they are defending this country and your ungrateful behind?

Blatant personal attacks do not fit the passive-agressive personality profile.

Thanks for posting that letter. The DOJ could bring RICO to bear on the ACLU for their activities in a number of areas IMHO.

They could if they wanted to, but they don't want to.

They could also secure the border merely by changing their BP tactics, but they don't want to do that either.

"These people have to be stopped before someone gets hurt."

I agree with you completely. We need to put a stop to illegal immigration immediately.

You mean the drug runners and illegals?

It'd be great if these guys could find a retired Army or Marine general to help them organize.

Well, if they're tresspassing, they should be arrested. Someone owns the land they'll be trampling on.

I suspect that at least some of the volunteers will be land owners who are sick and tired of getting shot at by drug runners and having their houses broken into by the illegals. I also suspect the organizers will try and get permission from other land owners to traverse their land and perhaps set up spotting locations.

The MM will be doing them a service their tax funded agencys are either unable or unwilling to do. I can't see why they'd object.

The MM will be doing nothing unless the INS chooses to let them. The MM have no legal right to stop people in this country. There is no such thing as a 'citizens arrest' under federal law. They're wasting their time and the time of the INS, which is going to have to clean up their messes. How would you like Sarah Brady knocking on your door because she thinks you've violated some gun law?

Also, the ACLU has repeatedly used libelous and slanderous rhetoric to thwart the ability of U.S. citizens to assemble under the First Amendment, effectively dissuading some U.S. citizens from exercising their civil rights.

Ironic this militia group is complaining to the government (that it feels is failing its members) that the ACLU, in exercising its first amendment rights, is somehow infringing on theirs.

From what I understand, Mike, this go-round will only last one month. Simcox and Gilchrist may run another iteration, but I haven't heard anything along those lines yet.

I cringe at the thought of violence between these two groups and the fallout that will inevitably follow. I do support the project, however.

If the ACLU repeatedly passes out fliers at your church calling you a child molester, is that the free exercise of their first amendment rights?

If your business suffered because people would not shop at your store, because the ACLU paid for radio ads calling you a neo-Nazi, would that be fine with you?

Free speech, right?

Of course, the ads would use careful legalese, such as, "ClintonBeGone is thought by many to be a child molesting neo-Nazi."

That would be fine with you?

actually, i was *astounded* (open-mouthed) to see cnn Lou Dobbs talking about the 'hypocrisy' of the mexican government in threatening to sue in AZ, etc. It was an amazing piece, and that CNN carries this tells me the media has 'deemed' that illegalgration and border control will now be a topic of public debate. No doubt that the minutemen group has forced the timing of this.

There has been some focus from CNN lately on the illegal immigrant issue, and it has been pretty hard on fedgov and mexgov.
