Schiavo Moves Closer to Death (Schindlers Attorney: She Has 'Passed the Point of No Return')
ITV of Britain ^ | 3.27.05 9:49 PM

The Schindlers attorney said that Mrs. Schiavo is declining rapidly and a morphine drip has been administered by medical staff at her hospice to help her ease her pain.

He added, 'At this point, we would say that Terri has passed the point of no return.'

The case has been in and out of court for years and has gripped America.

It has seen the intervention of US President George W. Bush, the US Supreme Court and Florida's Governor Jeb Bush.

The Schindlers, practicing Roman Catholics, have attracted passionate support from an array of Christian conservatives, right to life, and anti abortion advocates, who have been holding vigils outside the hospice.

George Felos is a certifiable wacko. He has made right-to-die litigation his life's work and after listening to him describe Terri as being more peaceful than he's every seen her, I realized he's gone over the edge. He litigates, he wins, then assists his victims over to "the other side." I truly think he has begun to think of himself as God's agent and when he sees peacefulness in Terri, I think what he is seeing is the weird peace he himself feels as the agent of death. I would love to have a few psychologists discuss this. He has the same view of himself as cult leaders have of themselves. Personally, I think the Shindlers could sue him for murder.

I also think Felos has indoctrinated Michael Schivao, which is why Schiavo won't allow the transfer of guardianship. I would say he probably doesn't even realize this - that he thinks all of this is his own idea. That's how good Felos is.

We must pass legislation in her honor to avoid similar barbaric outcomes (being starved/dehydrated to death while not in a PVS) in the future.

That is already for or against the law, depending on the patient's wishes. This case is the court wrongly concluding that the patient wanted to die, and the entire judicial apparatus supporting that outcome.

marquis, I know it's Easter and a sacred day indeed, but I can't help feeling the way you do. I don't want him to die, just be terribly inconvienced for the rest of his miserable life. I'd just settle for quadraplegia.......let him think about his whole sorted life and what HE may have POSSIBLY done to Terri to put her in the condition she was in. Lord forgive me.

Just HOW would they save her that would be permanent so that she would not have to go through this again by the ghouls?

Are you a dem attempting to turn this into a "hate Bush instead of the do-nothing democrats" view?

She passed the point of no return, for practical purposes, when the Shindler attorneys dropped the ball in their first trip to Federal Court.

Newsweek did a piece on the whole deal and from what I hear M.S. was treated with kid gloves. Sickening! The liberal media made up that Republican memo that made them look like they had a political motive in the matter. The whole media has distorted this "killing". It is pathetic, sickening, and maddening.

I think now that the euthanasia crowd has their very public legal precedent

Yes, however they may come to regret the "public" part.

This is a tipping point for the nation as a whole. A wakeup call. I for one think this will be used for good, and we will start heading in the right direction.

More like a huge jump, in the wrong direction. Some people are still asleep. Those who have had their eyes opened, have hope. The others may continue to impose their barbaric "peaceful" death on those deemed "medically futile," the fairly recent buzz replacement term for "useless eaters."

Tomorrow start calling members of the House and Senate. Let them feel the heat so to speak. The more calls the better. Nothing like votes and power to get them interested in protecting their cushy jobs.

"Why does Felos want Terri to die on Easter Sunday? He will get his wish, I think. He is getting something from this. I wish I understood what."

Symbolism....he can proclaim that her soul has "ascended" like Christs and that will make the assisted murder feel all better to some.

I think the Schindlers should file against Felos and have him charged with murder. Michael Schiavo has been doing his bidding, not the other way around, as they would have us believe.

Don't you understand that this is the culmination of Felos' lifework? Her death is nirvana to him. And if anyone is "giving" him anything, look to Soros.

Congratulations Michael, you got your wish. Now, may something absolutely as horrific happen to you, and please, may it come very soon.

Don't waste your energy on curses. I suspect that Terri will soon be in a better place the Micheal will ever be.

Don't hold your breath. Over 40 milliion children have been legally sacrificed on Moloch's altar of convenience and nobody has turned the nation around. I really believe America had passed the point of no return before we ever heard of Ms Schiavo.

Also..wasn't Terri ordered to appear before congress tomorrow?

Someone wants to make sure she can not keep that date.

I think the Schindlers cannot do anything further. It was "judicially" ordered/rubber-stamped homicide at all levels.
