Code Pinko Medea Benjamin has COW over Freeper MOAB (Fayetteville, NC - 3/19/2005)
If her lips are moving... ^ | March 19, 2005 | Suzie Benjamin

The sign that got Code Pinko leaders Medea Benjamin and Gael Murphy so upset that day.

Medea and the rest of the Code Pinkos take the stage

Verbatim transcript of Suzie "Medea" Benjamin's speech follows:

Bush says Code Red, we say... (crowd) Code Pink!

So I wanna address that sign over there, and those people who have been standing there for hours with a sign that says “Code Pink kills American troops, giving money to terrorists.”

Now what I think that refers to is that after George Bush quote “won the election” on November second, he said “This is a mandate for the war in Iraq,” and he sent our troops into Fallujah to destroy the entire city of 300,000 people, and we said not in our name! And we collected $650,000 worth of materials and took it to the women and children of Fallujah.
(crowd cheers)

We are here to say loud and clear “We love the US troops, and that’s why we want them back home.”
(crowd cheers)

We are here to say loud and clear “We love the Iraqis, and that’s why we want the US troops to come home.”
(crowd cheers)

Now, George Bush talks about a wave of democracy in the Middle East. What you don’t hear about is the wave of democracy happening around the world, wherein wherein country after country people are forcing their governments to leave the quote “coalition of the willing” and bring their troops home.
(crowd cheers)

It happened in Honduras. It happened in Nicaragua. It happened in the Dominican Republic. It happened in the Philipines. In Thailand. In the Netherlands. And most recently, the Italian people are forcing Berlusconi to bring the troops home.
(crowd cheers)

Let us learn from the people of Spain, who when they had that tragic terrorist attack one year ago, said… they got out on the streets massively, and they said no to terrorism. No to war. No to all forms of violence. They threw out a government that lied to them and they brought their troops home. We can do it too.
(crowd cheers)

That is the wave of democracy we wanna see. We invite our brothers and sisters in the military to join us in a nonviolent revolution in this country that will sweep away Alberto Gonzales who says the Geneva Conventions are quaint. That will sweep away...
(Medea is rattled as crowd in distance cheers “Code Pink kills, Code Pink kills.”)

...that will sweep away Paul Wolfowitz and take him out of the World Bank.
(crowd cheers)

That will say John Bolton will not be our representative at the United Nations (crowd cheers), and that says we want people in power who will deal with the world not like the global gendarme, but show kindness, humility, love, and compassion, that we in this country want to spread throughout the world, It’s not only the right moral position, it is the only thing that will make us safe at home. Thank you, Code Pink.
(crowd cheers, Medea leaves, and Chuck Fager begins to speak)

Isn’t it amazing how Medea just kinda mellows you out? Calms you down there? Now we gotta thank you Medea, we gotta move right along here, and next...
(crowd in distance cheers “Code Pink kills”)

...I’m gonna introduce Patricia Roberts, who lives in Covington, Georgia… Covington, Georgia. Her son was Army Specialist Jamal Rashard Addison (sp?) And he was killed near Nazarea in the opening days of the war in Iraq. And you folks over there, how ‘bout showing some respect for the dead... some respect for the dead victims of this war. He was killed near Nazarea in the opening days of the war in Iraq, and Patricia Roberts is now raising her grandchildren, Christian Constance Addison and Jamal Rashard Addison the second. Now those folks over there don’t have any respect for those who’s made the ultimate sacrifice in this war. Let’s show some for Patricia Roberts. Patricia...
(crowd cheers)

Note: We continued our chants of “Code Pink Kills,” after Medea left the stage and Chuck Fager introduced his next speaker, because Medea and her Code Pink gang were still standing alongside the stage. We were very much focused on making our point, and a lot of noise with our chanting, and we weren’t paying attention to what Chuck Fager was saying from the stage. When we realized that the new speaker on the stage was a mother whose son was killed in Iraq, we changed our chant to “USA, USA,” to voice our support for our fellow American who gave his life for his (our) country.

Hear Medea Benjamin's speech, and Freepers in the background.

Our MOAB really was an attention getter. Throughout our day in the American Zone, Medea Benjamin and Gael Murphy, stooges for Code Pinko and other anti-American causes, made numerous forays over to our area. Many of us took turns telling the grrrls in pink what we thought of them.

When we saw Medea and Code Pink take the stage, we raised our voices as one, and began five or more minutes of chanting non-stop "Code Pink Kills, Code Pink Kills." Those of us with bullhorns used them, those with plastic megaphones used them. And those without either simply shouted as loud as they could. And we were heard.

Medea Benjamin, Gael Murphy and other Code Pinkos pride themselves on infiltrating and disrupting many events, including the Republican and Democrat conventions, the Inaugural Swearing-in ceremony, Senate Hearings, press conferences, and "Pink Slip banner drops" from buildings.

Well, this time we got the drop on them. And they didn't like it, at all.

CODE PINK GIVES $600,000 TO THE 'OTHER SIDE' IN FALLUJAH (TREASON ALERT!)

You guys did everything legally and powerfully just short of delivering her a nice, well deserved knuckle sandwich. Great! (Or as Jim Carrey would say "It's Gooooood.")

I like it when the communist Left who hate America, get their nose rubbed in it. They never expect anyone to stand up to them, as they had from 1917 in the Soviet Union until the Counter Revolution.

We may have to re-name the, "Code Brown", considering there probably was a needed underwear change for most of them, when they got confronted face to face with their own tactics and with the TRUTH.

During the event we spent most of our time listening to our own speakers and talking with reporters and some anti-war folks who were reachable. I know I missed some really bad stuff emanating from their pit/stage; every once in awhile I would catch a bit of it and would offer my counterpoint via my bullhorn.

Code Pink was not listed on the program - they were either a surprise for the crowd or they were added on-the-spot because of our MOAB.

Outstanding! How many people were you able to get there? From the way your post reads, I get the impression that it was quite a few--or was it just the bullhorns that made you able to be heard above their noise?

I am constantly amazed at the ignorance of folks like Code Pink. I really do think they they are convinced that they are doing a right and wonderful thing---they are just so terribly, terribly wrong!

The Old North State Chapter did a lot of prep work and got the word out to many folks in NC, as did the SC Chapter folks. I think Huber said that he counted 200 at our peak. When Code Pink took the stage I think we had a hundred still on site; all with massive lung power and titanium vocal cords, it seems.

PROPOGANDA ALERT on CODE PINK!:::

Now, George Bush talks about a wave of democracy in the Middle East. What you don’t hear about is the wave of democracy happening around the world, wherein wherein country after country people are forcing their governments to leave the quote “coalition of the willing” and bring their troops home.(crowd cheers)

It happened in Honduras. It happened in Nicaragua. It happened in the Dominican Republic. It happened in the Philipines. In Thailand. In the Netherlands. And most recently, the Italian people are forcing Berlusconi to bring the troops home. (crowd cheers)

She really doesn't know; or care to say that these troops she refers to were on a specific time-frame. The withdrawal of troops had NOTHING to do with politics, nor of Socialist wishes -- but the troops were scheduled to be out, and returned to their countries, as scheduled. One of the countries was underfire themselves, shortstaffed on military and needed their troops home to deal with problems in their own country. I suspect the same =might= be holding in same for Italy, most recently.

Thank you tgslTakoma for posting Medea's very-uncivilized and untrue - rally boosting isms. Those who are military and hear or read this will be even more galvanized to win this mission, to clarify matters in Iraq, to help rebuild Iraq, and to get on home. When the job is done.

In line of thinking: When you host a party -- are not the hosts the last to clean-up and turn out the lights? YES. And that is the job of American Patriots in the mid-east. And the military I've spoken with will never, ever forget the wonderful military of the Coalition of the Willing, with whom they worked, and with whom they've built some life-long friendships.

The adnauseum whine from the left of "when are our troops coming home? Give us a date" is so much huckey, -- when does the party end? When the last person is driven home, or leaves walking ably. Iraq is yet needing some assistance. When Iraq is fully capacitated and able, our troops will come home. But not before. To do so before, would be akin to sending an incapacitated guest into their car to drive home.

The Iraqi people are working hard to be independent, and able to fully run their own country. America and the Coalition of the willing will standby, assist, and defend that pursuit.

Another example in way of explaining "when"? Iraq was ill. America sent help. America will not leave until Iraq is whole and well again.

No Meduusa, it is you who has no respect for what our troops have sacrificed. You use the dead and you cause human suffering by distorting and exploiting the grief of families who have lost loved ones. People such as yourself harm the grief process and cause families to get stuck in the anger phase of grief. There isn't a lower form of treachery than what you do.

Good job FReepers. Show this low life no mercy.

...he sent our troops into Fallujah to destroy the entire city of 300,000 people...

And how many people are in Fallujah now?

The bad guys operated terror dungeons and car bomb factories in Fallujah. Ordinary Iraqis in Baghdad knew the lull in car bombing in Baghdad during the first encirclement of Fallujah meant. Only Medea and her lying band don't want ordinary Americans to know.

We took a lot of wnwarrented casulties because of Meada's whining during the fall of Fallujah. Their blood is on Medea's hands.

Listening to the recordings of all of the speakers, including Benjamin, one is struck by the inanity of the "rhetoric". It's difficult to tell whether the speakers or the audience are stoned, stupid or simply reflect the level of critical thinking and expository communication taught in our high schools and colleges. Words and phrases such as "greedy corporations", "profits", and "justice" were used repeatedly without specifics, definitions, or qualifications.

One speaker had aspiratons of poetry and rhymed many of her phrases, although her rhyming was erratic and she was apparantly incapable of mastering even her own meter. The vocabulary of her poetry was similar to what would have been produced in an average fifth grade exercise in the '70s.

The sad fact is that Medea's speech above, even it its low standard, was one of the most logically coherent of the lot! One can only pity those who had to sit through all the speeches but were intelligent enough to know better, (as well as those who weren't!)

the people of Spain, who when they had that tragic terrorist attack one year ago..

And another thing (or two):

Deaths from tsunamis, earthquakes, and other natural disasters are tragedies.

An "attack" is not tragic, by definition. Spain's terrorist attack was not a "tragedy," nor are deaths from other attacks because those deaths are intended.

Medea is a story of the jealousy and revenge of a woman betrayed by her husband.

I'm not condoning betrayal of anyone, but it sounds like somebody did a number on Sue.
