Restore bible study to all schools, as it was when this country was founded.Anyone who thinks that a government employee should be teaching their children the bible is seriously delusional about the outcome of that practice.

that is nice stuff which is meaningless - read the original! take the time you use in commentaries, replace it with studying hebrew and greek - it is more worthwhile, then you get away from silly version arguments!

why not just do the original? Because the ancient languages cut a small population swath. Translation is always an issue. If you have read the Bible in its various modern translations, you know my beef. And it has nothing to do with gender neutrification.

Which version? I'm not joking here, the next great debate after you get the bible back into school is which version of the bible to use. This should never happen in a free society. Putting government in charge of morality is like putting pedophiles in charge of children.

What an article. Hard to believe a Scotland writer could understand and investigate all the facts of one case in America AND understand it better than even many on FR who refuse to look at what this case means.
Never thought I would see thoughts like these from an "international elite".

Before we could do that the corrupt judges that keep going against the ten commandments and are attempting to make God a dirty word but yet protect pornography as free speech must go!
We must overhaul and change the judicial system. These judges now have a President and a Governing cowering down. The state agency won't even fulfill it legal obiligation and duty and no one will step in.

This should never happen in a free society.
A lot of thing shouldn't have happened in this nation. One of the major problems being state sanctioned murder of it's citizens from the unborn, to those like Terri, who have brain activity, but are ignored by the judiciary.
Putting government in charge of morality is like putting pedophiles in charge of children.
I was thinking more along the lines of "foxes guarding the hen house", "thieves guarding the treasury", than your above statement.

Agreed this must never be forgotten and must be changed so that this will NEVER happen again in our country. We need to demand that the judicial system is overhauled and that these judges are NO LONGER ALLOWED TO MAKE LAWS!

I always held the quiet fear that if we add bible study to public schools it wouldn't be long before a teacher brought in a statue of Buddha and start teaching Buddhism to the students. Or a Koran from an Islamic teacher.
Maybe a well rounded religious education is good for children, but I don't think many parents would approve of that.
Of course we could make it illegal to teach anything but Christianity in public school, but I don't think that sounds good either.

This is an excellent article from a foreign source. I agree that it's time for a bloodless revolution. For that to occur it would take prayer, education, and political activism.

Which details exactly did they 'goof up' and how essential are they to the case?
If any Scottish kin are FReepers, thanks for giving us a nudge. I for one am so embarassed today to be an American.

I would also think the TS case will be with us forever. There is no way to know how this will turn out in the end, but the schism is deeper than ever after the past week.

And where would you like to start? Anyone who has taken a good, hard, long look has seen that there is corruption are every single level of our culture, not just in government. We absolutely need to start with prayer and preaching. Jesus Christ's last words to his people was to go out and preach the gospel to every creature. The time for couched and polite talk about God has come to an end. The revolution must be a spiritual one first and foremost. It must be fought with all of our heart with total reliance upon the Spirit of God for the holy results we hope for. Not be might nor power but by my Spirit saith the LORD of Host.

You called this one right. You said Jeb wasn't going to help Terri, and he did not. I agree that he and GWB would also be guilty of Terri's death, in addition to Greer, Felos, and Michael. The Bush Bros. know better - they know they can do something.
