the nation that has pledged to export its values to the rest of the globe set about starving and dehydrating one of its citizens to death

These are the values of the United Nations and the sustainable developers, NOT the values of Americans.

These "values" are being PUSHED on the American people from elitists who have power in our government to do so, because they promote "sustainable development". In a "sustainable" society, health care is rationed, and only the extremely wealthy have a choice in the treatments offered to the individual.

What you are seeing is a common set of rules (definitely not morals) that can be used to force "sustainability" onto Americans that do not realize that their nation is too free to exist in the sustainable global society planned for us. You may not be aware, that as Americans, we must lose our freedom to coexist with the socialist/communist/totalitarian dictatorship governments that we have pledged to support through the United Nations.

Bump comment:

BY MARK STEYN SUN-TIMES COLUMNIST

A couple of decades back, north of the border, it was discovered that some overzealous types in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police had been surreptitiously burning down the barns of Quebec separatists. The prime minister, Pierre Trudeau, shrugged off the controversy and blithely remarked that, if people were so upset by the Mounties illegally burning down barns, perhaps he'd make the burning of barns by Mounties legal. As the columnist George Jonas commented:

''It seemed not to occur to him that it isn't wrong to burn down barns because it's illegal, but it's illegal to burn down barns because it's wrong. Like other statist politicians, Mr. Trudeau . . . either didn't see, or resented, that right and wrong are only reflected by the laws, not determined by them.''

That's how I feel about the Terri Schiavo case. I'm neither a Floridian nor a lawyer, and, for all I know, it may be legal under Florida law for the state to order her to be starved to death. But it is still wrong.

Last week, before the eyes of the whole world, the nation that has pledged to export its values to the rest of the globe

It has started already. America will be the laughstock of the world and for good cause. This isn't the leftists hijacking a presidential vote count. This is the American system at work. The system is broken and the rest of the world sure as heck doesn't want it.

Well, the feeding tube did have a "permanently attached" part.

On the other hand, no mention of how Greer forbade oral feeding even though she could swallow her saliva so could likely handle a similar flow of liquid nutrition. Also, forbade swallowing therapy. Now THAT'S murder.

if they make laws requiring her family to keep her alive where will it stop case and point when my mom was dying of cancer we withheld iv fluids from her to help end her suffering it mad a difrence if about 5 days and was easier on her body and more peaceull for her as she was also in alot of pain.
we all know how one law can set precedent in a latter court case by demanding thse actions by the goverment i am shure some judge will get hold of it in the future and possibly expand it to all patints will have to have thier lives extended as mutch as possible and lead to more pain and suffering than could even be envisioned now this is an issue each family must tackel for themselves the goverment the media ant the courts should stay out of it in my humbel opinion btw i visit this site alot like it for the most part just take exception to this thread

Time for a Moral Revolution

I'll go along with that.
Remove the 10 Commandments from the public square, and their opposites move in to fill the void - political correctness laws!

"Thou shall not murder" now means it's OK to kill the defenseless for the sake of personal comfort. Quite a difference, isn't there?

Check out the rest of the Commandments and the consequences of their removal:

'You shall have no other gods before Me.'................ Government as your new God, and you WILL obey.

'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.' ............ environmental land grabs, oppressive laws, animal rights more protected than mans (it's a felony to starve an animal in Florida).

'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'..............children today swear like drunken sailors with Turrets syndrome! It's not a pretty sound.

'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.' ............Work overtime on Sunday. The union needs your dues money, and you need to pay enough in taxes to support the democrat base.

'Honor your father and your mother.' ............Anyone notice the kids lately? They're becoming like uncontrollable wild animals, and by golly don't even think about spanking them.

: 'You shall not murder.'............abortion, tossing newborns into trash cans, starving the disabled, kidnapping children to molest and kill, and coercing the elderly to die early out of guilt and for the sake of the great collective.

'You shall not commit adultery.' ...........broken and dysfunctional families, parent-less children, murders, child support, Michael ordering the death of Terri in Florida to be free for his new squeeze.

'You shall not steal.' .............robbery, car high jacking, high taxes, child abduction, forced sharing of the wealth.

'You shall not bear false witness.' ............I did not have sex with that woman Miss Lewinsky, She told me she wanted to die, I'm still looking for the real killer, I left her in the car when I want back to the restaurant to get my gun, I can't afford heath care so you have to pay for it.

'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'...........The Democrat party.

We absolutely need to start with prayer and preaching. Jesus Christ's last words to his people was to go out and preach the gospel to every creature.

How about we start with something simpler, like holding, in a civilized manner, those in government, religion, business and the press responsible for their actions and the ideas they support.

Anyone who thinks that a government employee should be teaching their children the bible is seriously delusional about the outcome of that practice.

It's got to be better than the Satanism they're teaching them now!
I think school choice is the answer. Let the liberals continue to be Satanists, and let the others continue to be Godly, or at least mentally and morally healthy.

Excuse me, no offense, but you mother was ill and dieing. Terri wasn't. She was disabled and very much alive. She died because her husband and a judge thought her worthy for being less than perfect. Big difference!

Because people lack the courage, discernment and moral conviction that comes from knowing God and his will.

The New King James. It's the original version simply with a lot of the th's left off the end of words. It's my Bible of choice now. But regardless, The WORD OF GOD MUST be brought back and especially to the up and coming generation.
