We are entering into either a dark night for our country, or the spark of a revival. Either way, I think that the GOP just lost a lot of credibility.
When Clinton sends goons with sub machine guns to abduct a little boy and send back to an atheistic hell hole, and yet a "moral conservative" president and governor sit on their hands and moan that they can't do anything... Lets just say I call bovine fecal matter.
Send in the US marshals. To say a judge can sentence an innocent woman to death for convenience sake while the government does nothing says all I need to know.

At least, according to Greer's favorite expert doctor that is true. Every doctor who disagrees with the PVS diagnosis is a quack, but a doctor who believes citizens lose their rights because of a medical opinion is wholly beleivable.

father and a friend Sunday night.
When her friend, identified as Sherry, recalled their

This whole thing sickens me. How long will it be before our terrorist enemies look at an al-Qaeda beheading video and say they are more humane than we are? (I have no sympathy with the terrorists - that goes without saying - but I predict the ugly propaganda will come.)
I do have the queasy feeling that the Republicans seem to have caught criticism both for having done too much on the one hand (for getting involved at all) and also for not having done enough (following through on the subpoena, etc.) Certainly it's not a "political win" for them, but doing the right thing is far more important. It's amazing seeing the celebrations some liberals have over this. They love the idea of Republicans being rebuffed, even if it means a mentally disabled woman starves to death. But since she's not a convicted murderer or an enemy combatant, the libs don't care. It's sickening how far the libs will stretch for a "win." It's mentally sick, pathetic, and outrageous.

It's barbaric, like burying a live person. The Nazis did this to some of those they murdered. Now, we do it.
It's not a dem vs rep issue. It's a good vs evil issue. We need folks from both sides of the aisle to save Terri. Don't alienate any possible ally.

URGENT
Dear Governor Bush:
There appears to be a simple but clear and convincing explanation for the seeming conflict between the doctors appointed by the court and the many other people who say Terri is responding:
TERRI RESPONDS TO FEMALES (and to her father), but NOT TO MALES. This makes perfect sense if she was abused by Michael Shiavo, especially if he tried to kill her. It also makes sense because she is brain-damaged; if she now has the mental capacity of a very young child or even a baby, she is going to respond much more to her mother as care-giver or to other female/nurturing voices. It explains the several female nurses who say she responded to them while in their care (which statements were made under oath but which the judge apparently has found 'not credible' in light of the several MALE strangers who have spent varying amounts of time with Terri in effect poking and prodding her in her most vulnerable aspect: using her brain "muscle" to produce responses). It explains why Terri said "I wan..." to her sister and the FEMALE attorney (according to the attorney's sworn statement; this is a person who understands the consequences of perjury).
The trial court has NOT discovered this fact. By failing to do so it has abused its discretion and failed in its duty as fact-finder. It's been OVERLOOKED but it's become the critical distinction and fact that explains the difference of "opinions" on the central issue: whether Terri is a vegetable or whether the state of Florida is starving a self-aware, communicative human being.
The MALE judge in this case doesn't see this; Michael doesn't see this; Felos doesn't see this; her parents KNOW she responds to them but they haven't made the connection -- it's so obvious that we've all basically missed it!
This is a matter of life and death, Governor -- please challenge the Pinellas Park Police Department to allow you and your agents into the facility to stabilize Terri until she can be examined by one or more court-appointed FEMALE physicians!!!

I agree, this is not a political issue.
I don't care what party a person is in, if they support this, I oppose them, if they oppose this, I applaud them.
Greer wouldn't change his position if there was a live video of Terri crawling the halls of the hospice begging for water. He is in full "my mind is made up, don't bother me with the facts" mode.
