It would be more accurate to say that US Liberals were to blame.
Bingo! Walter Cronkite will have a lot of explaining to do, as will other peacenick liberals.
Have liberals EVER been on the right side of history?
They're not big on stopping genocidal dictators.
Pol Pot was ANOTHER leader who banned guns before mass slaughter innocent people.
DISGUSTING. Hope the truth of this comes out more and more as the years go by.
I know what you mean!
I hope this comes out right, but I'm trying to make a point. Many who like to criticize the US, by the selectivity of their complaints, reveal their own bias. For instance, can you imagine a Ward Churchill type trashing the US because it allied itself with the mass murderer Joseph Stalin in WWII, or because it did not honor its commitments to the South Vietnamese people to shore up the cease fire? Of course not. All you hear is the standard criticism of the US from the left - Hiroshima, Allende, etc. What I mean is that the events they pick and choose to present out of context to slander the country almost always seem to be "fron the left" and not from an extreme anti-leftist perspective. Then again, I don't know everything that's out there, in the world of pundits, etc. Oh well.
Thank you Jane Fonda and John Kerry.
Being liberal means never having to say you're sorry!

What would this tribunal determine?
That Pol Pot and his cronies were bad guys?
Or will they be more interested in assigning monetary damages needing to be paid by the US and other countries?
I'd bet on assigning damages to be paid... No Thanks.
Pol Pot killed all those folks, period. This is just another thinly veiled attempt to pick our pocket again with a guilt trip. The left has never seen a problem that more money from the US Treasury wouldn't fix.
Death by Government is, by government definition, Good!
It's Hanoi Jane's fault. She and her friends with their faux, humanitarian indignation at US efforts in Viet Nam made themselves scarce once US forces left SE Asia.
Ol' Walter won't have to explain a thing. The Devil's waiting to welcome Walter home with a big party.
The Cambodian Killing Fields were the high-water mark of the August 1974-November 1979 Liberal Golden Age.
Being liberal means never having to say you're sorry!
Also means never having to say you're right!
