US Border Patrol agents talk with a member of Grupo Beta across the US/Mexico border fence west of Douglas, Arizona April 4, 2005. Both Grupo Beta, a department of the Mexican government that aids immigrants headed north towards the border, and the US Border Patrol have increased their presence in the area due to the Project Minuteman volunteers, some of whom that are armed, that have taken up posts on the border. Anyone ever heard of this "Grupo Beta"? Does the Mexican government actually facilitate the movement of illegals northward? Why do we tolerate this? Bush should demand that this department be abolished and Mexico work to prevent illegal migration rather than assisting them.
Let's add that to the list of things Bush should be doing...
Unfortunately it's getting to be quite a lengthy list. < sigh >
Spiff, thanks for the great report and the pictures. I appreciate what you and the other Minutemen are doing.
Re. #118;
" Borane has told the Minuteman Project members that they are not welcome in Douglas,(Arizona)..."
Hasn't this Muchacho got some sand, pretending to kick Americans out of an American Town!
As if he OWNS the place! (Sad to say, immigrant invaders essentially DO own a lot of American communities, don't they?)
I wonder if he's got the cahone's to actually try it?
Actually, I'm quite pleased that the MMP has not been run out of town by now by Federal Marshalls, on orders of Vincente' Fox, Via the White House.
My estimate for a Gov't eviction was Tuesday - glad to see I was wrong!
If I were there, I would dig me some discrete fighting holes to take cover in in case the SHTF - which it still might. At least some sandbag defenses.
Plenty of sand about, by the looks of it.
And I hope that they are not only covering the fence, but watching their "6" and both flanks pretty closely, too.
The MM do keep perimeter security up 24/7, don't they?
Where was it that I saw where some rouge Mexican Army Commandoes (it's getting hard to tell where the Mexican Government leaves off and organized crime begins) were supposedly infiltrating in to the US to support the drug traffic or something?
I think that they were a seperate group from MS-13.
Those guys could present a challenge, especially if supplied with LMGs, RPGs, mortars etc. by the Mexican Army over the fence on one of the flanks. They could really hurt somebody with stuff like that.
For that matter, aren't most of the MMP positions within mortar range of the other side of the fence?
Just curious.
Let's hope and pray that things don't get TOO "interesting" Down there!
Praying for all the good men and women down there...
