Michael Vick Hit With Sex Suit
Woman claims star NFL quarterback passed along herpes in 2003
APRIL 5--Claiming that Michael Vick gave her herpes, a Georgia woman is suing the star NFL quarterback for negligence and battery. According to the below lawsuit, Sonya Elliot, a 26-year-old health care worker, was infected with the sexually transmitted disease in April 2003 after an unprotected encounter with Vick at the athlete's Duluth, Georgia home.
Elliott alleges that after testing positive for Herpes Simplex 2, she confronted the Atlanta Falcons star, 24, about her condition. "I've got something to tell you. I've got it," Vick admitted to her, according to Elliott's State Court complaint, which alleges that Vick then told her that "he had not known how to tell her about his condition, and that it was not something that he liked to talk about."
Elliott's complaint also contends that Vick "apologized profusely" for not telling her he was infected with the STD. Elliot's lawsuit alleges that Vick has used the name "Ron Mexico" and, in a related court filing, her lawyers are seeking Vick's admission that he used the "Mexico" alias--and perhaps other fake names--"for the purpose of herpes testing and/or treatment."
In her lawsuit, which does not specify monetary damages, Elliott states that she met Vick at a Virginia Beach nightclub in May 2001 and, shortly thereafter, began a close personal relationship with the football star (though the couple did not have sex until late-2002). Last December, Vick, the top overall pick in the 2001 National Football League draft, signed a ten-year, $130 million contract with the Falcons, the richest deal in league history.

I wonder if she wears those rubber gloves at work like health care workers are supposed to do.
She was probably relieved when she found out "it" was only Herpes.
Ron Mexico?
That reminds me: you would be surprised at how many health care workers, who smoke, who turn out to be respiratory therapists.
And that's the REST of the story.
I've often wondered how many women Magic Johnson slept with after he contracted HIV.
Why not? I go by Jimmy Belize.
just another idiot that has no clue what "taking personal responsibility" means.
Damn! I've been using "Rex Monaco" as my booty call name for years. I hope this doesn't screw up my action.
Just like Kobe, watch those endorsement $$$ go "bye-bye."
Already posted.
I'm not so sure.
Most people knee jerk are going to back him first.
After that, it'll be an uphill, she's going to have to prove that he does have herpes, and that he did give it to her.
He'll probably beat this before it even makes it to preseason.
You're wrong. Read the complaint (it's available at the Smoking Gun).
And why is she not 50% responsible, seeing as she agreed to unprotected sex?
It won't be hard to prove he has it. It doesn't go away.
He'll probably beat this before it even makes it to preseason.
He'll settle before preseason is my bet.
Yeah, but at least it wasn't the Magic Johnson disease. (Yeah, his Johnson was magic all right)
Did any of you actually bother to read the complaint?
She was hoping to get preggries and hit a really big payday.
All of your allegations in post #15 are refuted by the complaint. Wake up.
Would she still be suing if he sold vacumms for a living? Prolly not.
Quite often statements in a complaint are incorrect, or in dispute. You should not accept them as gospel, they have not been proven, and you have not even heard the other side of the story.
pre-marital and extra-marital sex always has risks and it was very unfortunate that this woman learned that the hard way.
So, what's your point ? We should feel sorry for her ?
She didn't. Read the complaint.
Quite true. And the posters on here who didn't read the complaint and assumed "she is an idiot who consented to unprotected sex" have not even bothered to hear her side of the story.
Unless you are an extreme idiot, you know that a complaint is an allegation, an accusation with prejudice. It is not considered fact in any way until the case in heard and/or proved.
A complaint is never considered fact in any way, unless the answer admits the specific allegations, or the complaint is verified, becomes testimony, and no contradictory evidence is presented.
I kind of wonder why anybody actually bothers to post the story anymore.
"She didn't. Read the complaint."
Of course, you have no way of knowing whether she did or she didn't. You have only read the complaint, and have no way of knowing whether this complaint is true, or full of lies.
You know better than to accept an unproven, untested complaint at face value.
It would be more hoenst to say, "Maybe she did, if her complaint is not truthful."
You made an excellent point..A complaint is NOT a set of proven facts.(unless your case is in 'judge' greer's court)
I think the real question is how many men did Magic Johnson sleep with after he contracted HIV?
Teddy Tortola
MMmmmmm... Genital herpes...
Of course not.
I only read the first two words in a title and make my deduction from there.
Why don't you read back thru my posts and see where any of my comments disagree with her complaint
I look forward to your reply.
Ouch!!
Vic Scores!
She was probably even more relieved when she figured out that Ron Mexico was a quite sue-worthy star athlete, Michael Vick instead of just some no account like from the weekend before.
I agree completely but people here were accepting that the woman had agreed to have unprotected sex based upon nothing. With the little "facts" we do know about this case, the woman never agreed to have unprotected sex with Vick.
Now these "facts" may change.

Sorry for the double post
You are in for it now! LOL~
You think Vick could turn around and sue the woman he contracted it from?
Sleep with dogs, get fleas.
Surprised Vick didn't settle out of court with this woman, unless she wanted to let other women know so they could make an informed decision about having sex with Vick. If so, good for her.
After reading the entire complaint at the link web site, paragraph's 16 and 17 detail the exact nature of the "unprotected" contact which caused her contraction of herpes.
The unprotected genital contact between the two was during a "foreplay" moment, in which, penetration did not actually happen, according to the plainiff.
It was immediately after this "foreplay" moment that the plainiff stopped the "foreplay" activity and insisted that the defendant put on a condom, as he had previously done in 5-7 previous intercourse moments.
It just goes to show you that even the "slightest" touching of genital areas can cause a contraction.
It can also cause prenancy, something that left wing nuts don't want to acknowlege.
