"SORRY, JANE, APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED"
Human Events Online ^ | 4-9-05 | Chris Field

Jane Fonda wants the country to forgive her for her trip to Hanoi during the Vietnam war. But I say, "not yet." The reason: she's not really sorry! Read her new book, My Life So Far. Here's what she says about her terrible visit to the enemy's camp in July of 1972, when Richard Nixon had already begun pulling American troops out of South Vietnam and was trying to get the South Vietnamese to take over the fighting and working to bring our prisoners of war home: " . . .I do not regret that I went. My only regret about the trip was that I was photographed sitting in a North Vietnamese antiaircraft gun site." Well, if she doesn't regret making that trip, how can anyone forgive her?

I saw Ms. Fonda on Letterman. She's not learned much in 35 years, has she?

Pray for her.

She's not sorry that she's a traitor. She's sorry that everyone knows her for a traitor. A subtle difference.

If Ms fonda really wants to be forgiven by the Nam Vets,
she should pick out the VA Medical center of her choice,
go stand by the main flag pole in front of the place and
stick a pistol in her foul mouth.
The crack of that pistol report will signify my forgiveness of hanoi jane.

Jane Fonda tapes were played repeatedly to our POWs, many of whom expressed their outrage to the Holzers for having been branded "war criminals" and accused of "gratuitously killing innocent civilians." "It's difficult to put into words," one ex-POW told the authors, "how terrible it is to hear that siren song that is so absolutely rotten and wrong."
She is a traitor. She should be tried for treason.

Hanoi Jane can apologize from now until hell freezes over. A traitor is always a traitor. Many American soldiers suffered because of her and that will never change.

The new copy of PEOPLE arrived in my mailbox yesterday with a picture of the Pope on the cover. I was happy to see that, however, I was really pissed to see the spread on Jane Fonda. I wrote the Editor and basically said that I wanted my money back for my subscription, since they couldnt find a better use for paper then to write about Jane Fonda, and I also told them that there were plenty of Veterans who could find a much better use for their paper then they did. Screw her..it really makes my blood boil that she has a book coming out and everyone is kissing her (caboose) to publicize it. I guess thats what it takes, participation in threesomes, being a has been actor and being a war demonstrator. Sounds like a best seller to me...(insert sarcasm here) Hey lets all demonstrate by burning her books in front of Barnes and Noble!!!!

I've seen things on Drudgereport about husbands 1 and 3. What about Hayden? Though Fonda started her hate-America stuff in 1968 apparently it wasn't until 1974 that she returned to Hanoi this time with Hayden, I believe.

They were later married.

She must have had dealings with Hanoi's man in America soon after linking up with all his fellow kooks in 1968.

I believe that David Horowitz has pretty much described Hayden as Hanoi's man in America in the book, Radical Son. Mr. Horowitz is still waiting to be sued by Hayden.

(My note. That's Hanoi's man in America, not Hanoi's most trusted American. The latter is Walter Cronkite.)

Come on, Jane. If you are truly sorry tell us about that commie hubby of yours and his other Ho.

Benedict Arnold was shunned by the English after the war.

Very true. The Brits never trusted him after he showed he was willing to sell his own countrymen out. Just like I'll never trust any apology from Hanoi Jane or John Effin' Kerry for selling out our troops in Vietnam.

It's said of one of Jane's exes, "He lost his ratings, then he lost his network, then he lost his mind." I think you can use "fruit loops" as a description of Jane to a much greater degree than you can even of Ted.

My brother was an 101st Army Ranger in Vietnam.

I'm so sorry that you all didn't get the recognition you so definitely deserved for all you went through, and might be going through now.

I'm glad the Swift Boat Vets brought attention to the great people you are.

I wish you all didn't have to relive these memories, just because a traitor like this sad excuse for a human being wants to sell books.

I wish we could go back in time and treat you with the respect you earned, and...

God Bless you all for being Great Americans!

Signed,

A little sister who watched it all happen.

You bring up an interesting point. If she is sincere about her apology she could go to a VA hospital and help all the wounded soldiers coming back from Iraq. Doing something positive for them would go a long way in repairing her image. But then I woke up and, well you know the rest.

How could she learn much under the influnce of O'l Ted "I already have my money and you don't need any" Turner.

She has surrounded herself with pure limisone-liberal socialists and has no clue about people who really work for a living and have, withint their families, fought and died for the freedom to do so.

What she cost this country and many of its citizens she could never repay.

From the reviews I've read about this trash, Jane Fonda's life is a chronicle of one insecurity after another. She's the ultimate weak sister -- exploited by everyone in her life, from her parents to her lovers to her ideological circle. In other words, she's the ideal poster child for the spineless Left.

First of all, the camera lies. Secondly, I imagine her looks are as much a credit to her surgeons as to her preservation. And thirdly, whatever physical beauty she has is more than offset by the ugliness in her soul. All I see when I look at her is a spoiled coward.

"She's the ultimate weak sister -- exploited by everyone in her life, from her parents to her lovers to her ideological circle. In other words, she's the ideal poster child for the spineless Left."

I see her and the left differently. They are selfish, self-absorbed people, who when things go wrong, blame it on others.

Fonda was born beautiful, well-to-do, and the daughter of a respected actor. Like most Lefties, she's used her fame and fortune to destroy this country and help communism and socialism around the world.

She states she "wanted to help the soldiers by ending the war" - but what has she done for the vets in the last 30 years? Nothing. She could have used her fame and money to help wounded vets but has done nothing but issue empty "apologies".

"She should have beenmet at the airport by US Marshalls."

Absolutely!

But the justice dept. stands in fear and trembling before the subversive ACLU who would come to Hanoi Jane's aid in a heartbeat.

They have always used the ruse that she couldn't have committed treason because Vietnam was not a declared war, ergo, they weren't the "enemy," ergo, there was no enemy to give "aid and comfort" to, ergo, no treason was committed.

It's sick.

Pray for our country.

Repentanance is not enough.

A year on the lecture circuit and appearances on Fox news denouncing John Kerry and all others involved might provide atonement.

When I think of people like Fonda I think of the old short story "A Man without a Country" about a man involved in the Burr Treason sentenced to never see America again and to live aboard a navy ship the rest of his days.

People like Fonda should never be allowed to set foot on American soil again.
