Saddam's nephew captured 11-04-2005 From: Agence France-Presse
IRAQI authorities have said they have arrested a nephew of toppled Iraqi president Saddam Hussein suspected of playing a major part in financing the insurgency. A government statement said Ibrahim Sabawi - son of Sabawi Ibrahim al-Tikriti, a half brother of Saddam also being held in custody for allegedly bankrolling rebels - was arrested recently close to Baghdad.
Ibrahim Sabawi was part of the circle of those close to the deposed regime. Up until his arrest he was financing the terrorists as was the case for his father Sabawi, the statement said.
No further details were given on the date of the arrest or its circumstances, which comes six weeks after his father was captured close to the border with Syria.
Iraqi officials have said Ibrahim Sabawi was involved in guerrilla activities in the area south of Baghdad known as the triangle of death for its frequent attacks.

More kin behind bars?
I wonder what will happen when Saddam comes to trial.
The rats will desert and turn on him.
Good. And what I especially like is that IRAQI forces arrested him. Keep that kind of stuff up and our troops can come home.
Cool! At first I was thinking that this was old news, but then I remembered that it was Saddam's half-brother that was captured. This is good news!
Agreed, it's good to see the Iraqis stepping up here.
Good.
Is that date correct 11/4/2005?
It means April 11, 2005.
That's the way most foreign countries do it. Day/Month/Year, and it's the 11th in Australia already.

(I'll wait on other sources before I get too excited.)

They were raised by the same liberals in college and the media..
" Was Kerry, Fonda, and Churchill hatched from the same egg?"
yes.
> No further details were given on the date of the arrest or ...
Gotta wonder if this happened before the failed prison
break-in, and if that was the point of the effort.
> Is that date correct 11/4/2005?
M/D/Y is unfortunately common outside the US. Unless a
date is in ISO 8601:2004 format (e.g. 2005-04-11, which
is reasonably unambiguous), there's no way to know what
the heck it is anymore.

I wonder if Syria may have covertly turned these guys in, after being made an offer they couldn't refuse?
Wonder where he falls in the Deck of Nephews?
Terrorist captured Ping
