Jerger-Centonze held fundraisers for Hospice Foundation (Terri Schiavo Mystery Expands)
Canada Free Press ^ | 11 April 2005 | Judi McLeod, Editor

Posted on 04/11/2005 12:38:15 PM PDT by shrinkermd

Even after her death, all roads in the life and times of Terri Schindler Schiavo lead back to the Attorney George Felos-extolled Woodside Hospice.

Listed under "fundraisers" on the website of Liberty American Insurance Group is "The Hospice Foundation".

The Jerger & Centonze Insurnance (sic) Agency Inc., an inactive company, owns the Liberty American Insurance Group.

The Jerger & Centonze Insurance Agency was established in January 2001 at the home of Michael Schiavo and girlfriend, Jody Centonze, identified as Schiavo’s fiancée for the first time in the obituary of his mother, Clara.

The principal mailing address of the company is listed as 2807 Marrie Court, Clearwater, Fla.

This address is listed as owned by Jodi A. Centonze in Pinellas County appraisers’ records.

Michael Schiavo is listed as a 2002 company director at the same Marrie Court address.

Richard M. Jerger Jr., listed on 2002 company papers as a director, is a stockholder in Philadelphia Consolidated Holding Corp., which sold 2,902 shares of stock in 2001 for $102,933.

Why would the Philadelphia Consolidated Holding Corp. buy Jerger & Centonze with a stock and cash deal valued at over $40 million?

Who in the insurance industry would want to truck with a corporation that misspelled its own name--a misspelling that in spite of its place in cyberspace no one moved to correct in three years?

I agree that Michael does not own Liberty American, but read the whole article. I think it's saying that Richard Jerger, who owns Liberty American, completely bought out Michael and Jodi's Company in 2002. Jerger may be the big deal-maker with hospice, not Michael.

But, but after all he is the root of all evil and thus the seriousness of the charges makes their truth irrelevant.

I assure you that it is the same Michael R. Schiavo. I've been following this for some time. While Ms. McLeod does leave a bit to be desired in the way of reporting, it doesn't mean that she's totally off base here either. Until this story, I had missed the Washington Post article, which I intend to look at for the paper trail, to see if it corroborates Ms. McLeod's story.

Don't throw out the baby with the dishwater. There could still be something here that is unseen as of yet.

Y'mean I might actually be correct in my imaginative supposition(s)?

The corporation now known as Liberty American Insurance Agency, Inc., was formerly known as Jerger & Sons, Inc. Named change 2000.

Richard M. Jerger, Jr., is only one of the persons named Jerger originally involved in that entity, which suggests to me that it was probably founded by his father and was a closely held corporation. Nobody named Jerger is now an officer or director of the corporation, so my guess is that it was sold, and maybe the Jergers were eased out?

The Jerger-Centonze corporation appears to have been some side deal that never went anywhere, but it's worth looking into. If you look at the 2000 Annual Report for Jerger & Sons, Jodi Centonze was a VD (Vice Director?) of that corporation that year and also 2001, after the name change.

I did confirm that Jodi Centonze does own the house situated at 2807 Marrie Court, Clearwater FL.

Well, it was the Washington Post reference that ticked me off to begin with. I have Lexis-Nexis so wasted some time playing with variations on the facts trying to confirm what she wrote, and as reported it cannot be confirmed.

A search of the word "Jerger" over the past ten years turns up nothing in the Washington Post.

A search of the word "Centonze" over the past ten years turns up only stories that are related to the Schiavo case.

I don't understand why a court didn't look at his motive to determine if he were following her best interests or just wanted her dead ASAP.

My understanding is that the Schindlers attempted, several times, to get the judge (Greer and others) to look at such things, but they were slapped down every time. So the HINO got away with a lot of things... all of which was allowed by JINO Greer, and possibly aided in other ways by other death-lovers.

Makes my head hurt, it does.

There's SOMETHING going on here, can't quite put a finger on it. But, it just doesn't 'smell right'.

"George Felos also forgot to tell the court that at the time that Terri Schiavo was unlawfully entered into the Hospice of Florida Suncoast Inc. that the federal government was actively trying to recover nearly $15 million paid to the corporation in a fraudulent Medicare payments because patients certified as terminally ill were not in fact terminally ill and ineligible to be admitted to the Hospice under Medicare."

Nita, do you have 'critical thinking' you'd care to add?

I wrote to this paper asking them to verify their source that Jim King was on the board of Hospice Woodside. They have not replied. I've look at the docs on sunbiz and he's not listed. Granted the images are small and not easy to read but as much as I would love to see such an obvious connection between King and Woodside they need to come clean with their source.

As for the typo, it's easy enough to make an error typing and data entry clerks are probably not going to catch every error they make.

But, but after all he is the root of all evil and thus the seriousness of the charges makes their truth irrelevant.

The article, contrary to CobaltBlue's mysterious post, doesn't say that Schiavo was an owner of Liberty American Insurance Group.

You seem to be trying to head off a conclusion before it is even suggested. Why? What's in it for you?

I faxed Jeb today that people were staying in the party to vote against candidates in the primary and then they were leaving. At least I didn't call him or Jim King a murderer.

Really. Out of all this confusion, here's an interesting fact. Does she own it in her own name? I wonder if she owns it outright?

Is Liberty American the group that owns the group that has Wilford Brimley barking at the seniors "YOU CHECK YOUR BLOOD SUGAR AND YOU CHECK IT EVERY TIME YOU SHOULD(!)"?
