The Next Pope and Islamic Prophecy (TROP™ covets Rome and the Vatican)
FrontPage Magazine ^ | April 14, 2005 | Steven Stalinsky

Posted on 04/14/2005 3:04:18 PM PDT by quidnunc

Following Pope John Paul II's visit to the Middle East in 2000 and 2001, some prominent Muslim leaders openly discussed the future dominance of Islam in Europe, including conquesting the Vatican.

While the identity of the next pope is decided, one of the pressing issues he will have to deal with is the growing Muslim community in Europe, part of which have Islamist inclinations. As the New York Times reported this week, the next pope will be facing "increasing secularism in Europe, contrasting with the religious revival in the Islamic world … and the rising number of Muslim immigrants in Europe."

Saudi Sheikh Muhammad bin Abd Al-Rahman Al-'Arifi, Imam of the mosque of King Fahd Defense Academy, discussed the coming Muslim conquest of the Vatican. Citing a Hadith in an article posted on the Kalemat website in 2002, he stated: "… We will control the land of the Vatican; we will control Rome and introduce Islam in it. Yes, the Christians, who carve crosses on the breasts of the Muslims … will yet pay us the Jiziya [poll tax paid by non-Muslims under Muslim rule], in humiliation, or they will convert to Islam…"

Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood and head of The European Council for Fatwa and Research and the founder of European based International Council of Muslim Scholars (Imams) posted a fatwa on the website www.islamonline.net, in 2002 about the "signs of the victory of Islam" in Europe.

Also citing a well-known Hadith, Al-Qaradhawi wrote: "… The Prophet Muhammad was asked: 'What city will be conquered first, Constantinople or Romiyya?' He answered: 'The city of Hirqil [i.e. the Byzantine emperor Heraclius] will be conquered first' — that is, Constantinople… Romiyya is the city called today 'Rome,' the capital of Italy … and we hope and believe [that it too will be conquered]."

Yes. The recent problem of Christians carving crosses on the chests of muslims cries out for a solution.

The problem is Muslims carving the heads off of non-Muslims

We have nearly as many foxes in our henhouse. Since the 1981 "Mecca Declaration" (google it) an average of 2 Mosques per week have been opened in the west - including here. Again, go to islamicfinder.org and see how many Mosques are near you.

Islam is a mortal threat to our civilization.

I can't imagine an America of the 1930's letting professed Nazis imigrate here. I can't imagine an America of the 1940s, 50s and 60s letting professed Commies imigrate here but, thanks to the insanity of multiculturalism, and the hate America leftists in the Academy, we have let millions of professed Muslims immigrate here and open Mosques which are recuriting ground and training grounds and propagandistic grounds to agitate for Sharia here. It is madness and it must stop. Islamic countries don't let you immigrate there and open Christian Churches but we are supposed to let them do in our country what they refuse us in theirs.

The west appears to have a death wish

They are quire fortunate that Islam is not strong enough to challenge them at this point in time. The current generation living in Europe could not fend off a real challenge from out side their borders.

As is generally the case, as we are seeing in the US today, the next generation goes against the prevailing wisdom of their parents i.e. kids today are generally more conservative than their Woodstock generation parents. This holds true for all western countries except of course France wherein each successive generation simply gets stupider.

The only hope for Europe lies with the next generation, hopefully there will be enough of them to save the day.

Well, I'm betting Paris will be a Muslim city before Rome...but looking at the demographic trends I wouldn't call either unlikely in a few generations...

We may want to check other sources before writing the Vatican off.

St. Malachy predicted the fall of the Vatican and the end of the world during the reign of the pope after this one. If the cardinals pick this next one from what's being reported as frontrunners, he'll be in his late 70's so we won't have to wait long to see if they're correct.

I think it was John Ashcroft who said:

In Islam, you send your son to die for God.
In Christianity, God sent His son to die for you.

I can't remember the number of the last Crusade. What will this one be?

"They have invited the fox into the henhouse"

I'm thinking we are doing the same in the name of political correctness.

Anyone who thinks Muslims aren't praying for this five times a day (or however many times a day they heed the call to prayer),is nuts. If the Cardinals elect a weak Pope or one more interested in appeasing Muslims than protecting Catholicism, there will be a bloodbath. Those with the means to flee Europe, will. Those remaining will take their chances. Sooner or later, the US will be called upon to intervene militarily or otherwise...but the Muslims will have nukes and other WMD's by then. The US might already have suffered a nuke attack, and if the UN is still in business, they'll be useless.

Depends on how you count. Some of them got distracted and never even reached any Muslims.

"I pray for a Pope realistic enough to confront the threat and to lead the west to sanity and to recognize we are not engaged in a war of terror but we are at war with Islam."

So? We better confront Islam as Christians confronted Rome as a better idea. Those that mean a 'military war' - that went out with the tide in the Old Testament. The realistic Pope has already pointed the way for the West - do not practice birth control, homosexuality and abortion. Jesus Rules.

"Infidels have much more firepower that the Allah-worshippers think."

Good point, it helps to balance the "Christians and Jews are not reproducing" part of the equation.

If Europe allows sharia law (including polygamy) this will surely happen. The demographics will decide. I think Germany allows immigrants from Saudi Arabia to keep their wives.
