He's no longer a "maverick" Republican. He should just declare himself an Independant and be done with it. Hell, it might help his presidential aspirations to do so since his biggest admirers are people who can't make up their mind.

It's amazing to me that the voters in AZ can't find a real conservative to run against this weirdo. I'm glad he's not representing me because he only represents himself. He should be recalled by the Republicans who voted for him because he is lying to them about his party affiliation.

Wait until the votes are counted.

McCain could vote with the dems, the vote with the reps by asking for a change to his vote.

It wouldn't surprise me.

Were there really Republicans who supported this jerk for President?

He is against the nuke option, but -in my opinion- will not vote with the dems on this. McCain will show party loyalty. He will not be able to run for president if he didn't support Frist also.

Yes, and no one that knows McCain should be surprised since to support Reps on this issue is to defy those he considers his base. The MSM.

I don't know how many times I'm going to have to shout this, but anyone who is so foolish as to continue holding up this sell out up as a presidential option in '08 needs to defect from the Republican/Conservative movement now. McCain Will NEVER get My vote and that arrogant egotistical traitorous loser had better fully understand a majority in the base have finally Got McCain's number and he is damn lucky his election wasn't in '06 when we didn't have a Prez ticket to fight for. If it had been he would have been Target Number one...for conservatives.

We need to get J.D. Hayward to take on this moron next time around. My nephew will be graduating from NAPS next month, Mctraitor's son is in his class and undoubtedly will be there, so will I. This might turn out to be a productive trip.

For the Arizona primary there was not even another name to vote for. That is the proper time to get rid of these stinking RINO's and we couldn't even get another name on the ballot!

I suspect that's what this is about too.

But .. who wants him as a repub if he doesn't believe upholding the Constitution is important.
