I believe the story is apocryphal, but the tale of King Christian X of Denmark wearing a yellow star during the Nazi occupation has always warmed my heart.
Even if the story is not true, the fact is that no one would create a legend like that about France, or Norway, or Austria.

The story is true. The Danes helped over 7,000 Jews to escape to Sweden when the Germans occupied Denmark. After the occupation the Jews returned and all of their property was returned to them. Not a single Danish Jew fell victim to the Hun.
That's why I am very proud of my Danish heritage
