Move America Forward is calling upon Senate Democrat Leader, Harry Reid, to apologize to a retired Air Force veteran who was told off by Reid's Chief of Staff after the private citizen wrote to Reid's office in support of the nomination of John Bolton to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

Yes. He's been so rude, lately.
The man from Searchlight is getting dimmer.
The dude is in way over his head. I think he's losing his grip!
Harry Reid is a huge disappointment . . . more than you could ever know.
Trust me, I know. I live in Nevada.

Libs have a tough time being civil, professional, or exhibiting any self-control. Frankly, I'm surprised that this kind of thing doesn't happen more often.
Dingy Harrie Reid and Howie Dean'o - - - the DNC will come apart at the seams shortly......
LOL! I love the searchlight references. I had totally forgotten about that until I heard it again on FR. I know Rush calls him Dingy Harry, but I like Searchlight Harry better. Very funny!
Its time to send this "servant" of the people back home to get some treatment and a long rest.
Yikes! Did you all go to the link and read the actual exchange between these two? It's a head-shaker. Reading the response from Reid's office reminded me how teenagers think.
So we keep saying but they somehow seem to manage to obstruct every and any single thing we try to do for the country.
Reid claims to be LDS, right? Wow!

Yes, they should by all logic. Dingy Harry is a lout, and a rude one at that. The sooner they self-destruct, the better...but I am still concerned about the Dem's useful idiots that pay no attention, don't have a clue, are happy as long as they have their government hand-out and six-pack, and will vote for ANYTHING with the Dem label on it.
That email from Mr. Estes, elicited this response from Democrat Leader Reids Chief of Staff, Susan McCue:

And you, cory, need to get off your extreme partisan puppetry and think this through. Blame the UN for the worlds ills if it makes you feel better. But maybe you should stop and think about what you as an individual can proactively do to protect this great nation. Name-calling at the behest of the rich republican propaganda machinery isnt it. Supporting our two-party constitional democracy is.
Harry Reids office is UNBELIEVABLE! I just called them and said approve Bolton and the aide's reply was a snide "Why, because he despairs the United Nations"!!
I asked him WHO HE works for: the UN or the United States and pointed out Darfur, food for oil, rapes in the congo, koffi's son's antics, koffi's antics, bloated budgets and said Bolton can make the UN a better place.
These people at Reids office are unreal! They really think they are responsible to the UN and not AMERICA!
Call them and RATTLE THEIR CAGES!
The good Senator NV is a minority party leader and Democrat spokesweapon for this platform. We all can speak to him with candor!
Was Reid always this nasty---or has he just become this way?
If the MSM would stop being the force behind the libs and expose & hammer the left for the same "crimes" DeLay is accused of committing, I think more moderates would never vote for another RAT candidate.
Although she has family in Nevada, Susan McCue is a New Jersey native and graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, with degrees in economics and journalism. The Almanac of the Unelected said she can be found at the center of nearly every major debate and agreement in the Senate. Before taking her top Senate post, she was a Communications Director and Speechwriter for Reid for five years and she was the Press Secretary for Sen. Tom Harkins successful 1996 campaign in Iowa. She left Capitol Hill in 1997 to work at an advocacy advertising firm, and she was a political appointee in the Clinton Administration, handling media for Housing Secretary Andrew Cuomo. She also worked on advertising for Vice President Al Gores Presidential campaign. Prior to coming to Capitol Hill in 1990, McCue worked as a research assistant at the Associated Press and for reporters at National Journal and The New York Times. McCue also is a creator of the reality TV show Staffers on the Discovery-Times Channel.

Disgusting language coming from an employee of the Senate Minority leader.
In fairness: It was a staff member, not Reid.
I doubt if any of them would admit to having Liberal DemonRAT Syndrome
True enough, but I still am seeing Rid as a pretty nasty type himself.
I was wondering if the sudden power was going to his head---and then perhaps to his staff by extension.
Thanks!
I read his original e-mail, and did not think he was rude. Which part of his e-mail did you think was rude?
"Partisan horse" ?
I think you are a Mormon....are you disappointed in Harry Reid because he's not living up to Mormon ideals? Is Reid a Mormon? He's such a mean=spirited little twerp.
In the wake of the UN oil for food and child sex scandals, is there any liberal out there who still thinks Bolton's disdain for the UN is misplaced?
You, as an individual, certainly have that right. But I would compare this more to an angry customer sending a letter to a company with whom he is disatisfied. In that case, an "equally toned" response is the wrong response.
We must keep in mind that the people in Washington, R's and D's alike, work for us and are paid by us. We should expect more from our employees then angry, hate filled letters, in which we (the consituents) are insulted.
As a business owner I'd flat out fire any employee who spoke to a customer in that tone. Its indicative of the mindset of the government bureacray that they do not feel any responsibility to the citizens that enable their little empires.
Harry Reid and his staff - including Chief of Staff Susan McCue - work for Mr. Estes, not the otherway around.
This is the entire email, and I hardly think it is rude. It is pretty simple and straight-forward:
"Bolton is the best possible person for the job of U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Senator Reid needs to get off of his extreme partisan horse, quit playing political games, and get back to representing his state in the Senate."
This wasn't some intern writing a rude responsible to a former member of America's armed forces, it was his Chief of Staff.
Every citizen deserves to be treated with respect by elected officials. They work for us, despite the fact that few of them recognize it.
Take care
Well, not to mention the fact that it has been revealed that Senator Reid WAS engaging in partisan political games. Read the excerpt from this week's time magazine where he indicates he wants to extend the filibuster to block Bolton too.
The difference is neither Ms. McCue nor Senator Reid knew of NO improper action by this Air Force veteran yet Reid's office felt like it could tell this guy off for voicing his opinion.
Amazing hubris! Can you imagine if Tom DeLay's or Newt Gingrich's offices had done this???
Ooopps - I just responded to you and RW Guy thinking he was responding to one of the "no big deal" comments.
*embarrassed* -- Sorry :D
That's pretty rich from somebody from Botswana. Or so we must assume from your lack of profile page information.
It is just going to be interesting to see if Reid is as decent a person as the press would have us believe.
If he is decent, then he will at least reprimand his Chief of Staff and offer an apology.
If he has sunk hopelessly into the cesspool of Washington D.C. politics, then we should expect nothing.
Good test for Mr. Reid.
I did not find his email to the Senator rude; however, I did find Susan McCue's response totally uncalled for. The email was not sent to her, and to respond as she did was beneath the dignity of position she holds. She is not working for herself...she is representing a U.S. Senator, and the office requires better manners than she displayed. She should be reprimanded, and if she can't control her 'tongue', so to speak, she should be terminated IMHO.
Bolton is the best possible person for the job of U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Senator Reid needs to get off of his extreme partisan horse, quit playing political games, and get back to representing his state in the Senate.

Javelina, I'm puzzled by your resonse to this, Mr. Estes (which is how Ms. McCue should have addressed him) is merely stating his opinion as to what HIS perception of Senator Reid's actions. There is no name calling, nor is it rude.
The response is remarkably rude and condescending and it is not how a public employee should respond to an employer, so to speak. Even if the initial letter were rude, responding in kind is NOT appropriate, and shows a serious lack of professionalism as well as a REMARKABLE wealth of partisanism.
A Democratic elected official does not represent ONLY Democrats, but ALL constituents, and even though Mr. Estes is from another state he has a right to express his opinion concerning the actions of an elected representative of the United States, whether positive or negative.
Either grow a thicker skin or find another line of work, Ms. McCue.
The initial letter did NOT deserve the rude response.
As an old boss of mine use to say: "Wish in one pot and #hit in the other, then see which one fills up first."
;-)
Obviously Senator Reid's office was orchestrating the "Smear Bolton" drill and they didn't appreciate hearing a viewpoint they didn't like from a private citizen.
The message from Senator Reid's office is clear - "either agree with us or shut the f..k up"
