Enough is enough.
It's time for New York's political establishment led by Mayor Bloomberg to sever all ties to the anti-Semitic hatemonger Lenora Fulani.
On a local all-news TV channel this week, Fulani repeatedly defended her obnoxious 1988 declaration that Jews "function as mass murderers of people of color" and "had to sell their souls to acquire Israel."
A crank, you say, far from the mainstream? Hardly. Fulani controls New York's Independence Party, which holds the No. 3 line on the statewide ballot. And that makes her obnoxious views irrelevant to most New York pols; all they care about is a spot on her ballot line.
Sen. Chuck Schumer, who has run on the Independence Party line and spoken glowingly at Fulani fund-raisers, put out a statement saying her statement should be "repudiated immediately." But he didn't say anything about severing all ties to her and her party. Nor, for that matter, has Gov. Pataki.
As for Mayor Bloomberg who is running on the Fulani line, has given her money for voter outreach and just this week spoke yet again at a Fulani fundraiser he's been dancing a political tango around the whole affair.
Frankly, with the noted exception of Sen. Hillary Clinton who has repeatedly denounced Fulani and refuses to accept the Independence line as long as the hatemonger controls it New York's top elected leaders have been profiles in cowardice.

I have more disdain for the college libs who bitch about "Israeli occupation" all the while trying to claim they're not antisemitic.
Moving to the right of the NY GOP is not too difficult. Your average New York Republican is to the left of mainstream Democrats.
Fulani...was she the one that ran as Buchanan's VP?
Yes, 'twas the end of the Brigade.
It used to be said in my home state, 'An Indiana Democrat is a Republican everywhere else.' Alas, not true anymore.
New York Republican= Democrat anywhere else.
New York Democrat = Marxist Leninist.
"Fulani...was she the one that ran as Buchanan's VP?"
No, no, but he too ran on the "independance" line in NY.
who was his running mate?
Hillary doesn't think she needs that ballot line. She expects to win by 20 points against all comers.
You're right she wasn't his Veep.
I believe Fulani was Pat's campaign co-chair?
Fulani was and still is the powere behind the INDEPENDENT PARTY (a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar lefty and anti-Semitic group !) in N.Y. !
Yes, she was his co-chair or something like that. They were VERY "cozy".
