He seems to enjoy the sport...

He sure does. That pitch he threw to open the Nationals-Diamondbacks game was pretty good. Not perfect, like his strike at the World Series after 9/11/01, but OK. It was a fastball a little high and inside. Would have brushed the batter back a bit had there been a batter.

She seems all head an no body at present. I think scotties look old from the word go. They do not seem to go through a puppy looking phase apart from the very first time we saw here where the fur was not quite grown but now she just looks like a smaller version of Barney.

I love that one of the VP, also. He has such a warm, beautiful smile.

I love the fact that what the Cheney's gave in charitable contributions was about equal to what they paid in taxes, and that the Bush's, whose earnings were less, also gave generously to charities.

You're welcome. There is still a lot of that little boy dreaming of a baseball career in the 58-year-old GWB.

Oh, Beezie is beautiful!

She is gorgeous. I love her brindle coat color. Perhaps if kath is around, she can confirm or correct this, but I think the AKC standard for Scotties says that the males and females would both be about the same size.

Again the 2 families are giving wonderful examples of what good decent people do. No doubt though the left will spin this somehow. I notice how the White House felt it necessary yet again to explain about the Haliburton money that Dick Cheney received it sickens me that whatever that man says or does bad motives are always attributed to him.

They are good people with strong religious foundations. So giving to charities seems to come naturally to them.

Yes, W as baseball commish would probably drive them even crazier than he does now!

I also think it would be great if he was made commissioner of baseball when he "retires" as president.

It's so coooool that we have an almost 60-year-old president who is such a committed exercise enthusiast that he can brush up on pitching to throw out the season opener standing on a par with the pros.

Nice baseball pictures! I'll bet President Bush had a blast. In the one of him pitching, I love the look of determination his face.

My dialup is so slow to load pictures that I'm considering getting DSL or something especially for the dose, so I'm not posting comments to your pictures 15 minutes or so after you've posted them! ;p

You seem to know a little bit about baseball. I don't know a thing except you're supposed to hit the ball w/the bat, but being a DC native, I'm curious if there's any talk about this new team. Did they get good players?

How is your knee?

It's lousy that the left keeps sliming Cheney re Haliburton but I'm glad the Executive Branch is out there refuting the garbage.

When I see Dick and Lynne Cheney (I am sure joyfully) donating over $300,000 to charities in one year, I cannot help but wonder what some of their most avid critics give to help the needy among us.
