While this is certainly not a bad idea by any means, I think we should also be working on repealing the 1934 NFA in toto.

I would agree, but the damage to our RKBA was done one or two "laws" at a time, making it necessary to repeal them the same way.

While this bill does not repeal anything, it DOES require ATFE to hire competent people, and to conduct themselves in an honest and apolitical manner.
That would be a huge change for ATFE, it would put an end to their using "prosecution" to silence their critics and acting as an organ of the liberal seditionist.

It is illegal for any agency which receives federal funding to engage in lobbying activity, this bill would make it more difficult for ATFE to continue lobbying under the guise of "prosecution" or "education".
