Most "portrait" lenses have longer focal lengths, to give a more natural recognition factor, to a photo. This one appears to have been shot with a short, or "normal" lens, which alters (or distorts, in our minds) the relative location of features. Things look out of proportion because of their distance from the lens... It's called "perspective"...

I go for Laura Ingraham's style and message more than Ann's. I love Ann but I think a great "Time" match-up would be Laura's radio program v. Ann Marie Cox's Wonkette website. Both are growing in popularity and each is about the same distance on either side of the political spectrum.
