Ann Coulter epitomizes the way politics is now discussed on the airwaves, where opinions must come violently fast and cause as much friction as possible, TIMEs John Cloud claims in this weeks cover story.
No one, right or left, delivers the required apothegmatic commentary on the world with as much glee or effectiveness as Coulter, Cloud writes (on newsstands Monday, April 18).
It is almost impossible to watch her and not be sluiced into rage or elation, depending on your views. As a congressional staff member 10 years ago, Coulter used to help write the nations laws.
Now she is far more powerful: she helps set the nations tone. TIMEs Cloud had unprecedented access to Coulter.
He goes more than 6,000 words.
And he appears to come away liking her.
"On TV or in person, you can trust that Coulter will speak from her heart. The officialdom of punditry, so full of phonies and dullards, would suffer without her humor and fire. Which is not to say you don't want to shut her up occasionally," Cloud notes.

LOL
Ann is NOT 43, she is 42 or 41
I'm not talking about "fat" women. I'm talking about someone who appears emaciated at times.
But your comment does ring true to a point. To each his own........
How old she appears has nothing to do with being unhealthily thin. Two different issues altogether.
Though, as I stated above - to each his own. I don't have any "preferred body types" amongst women I see, but the thought of being able to see ribs, shoulder blades, hip bones, etc is kind of a turn-off for me. You can be trim and still not appear anorexic.
There's no doubt it's a package deal. If it were looks alone, she wouldn't stand a chance.
To an extent, it's no different when you find the person you spend your life with. Is my wife beautiful? I think so. Is she Penthouse model beautiful? No. But she's intelligent, responsible, funny - and she loves me back. Like you said - it's a package deal.
Anyway, I certainly agree that she (AC) is one helluva woman. My main issue is only with her unnaturally thin appearance. And if it's truly metabolic/natural - then good on her, and viva la difference!
Amen!
I think that MM is WAY hotter than AC.
But, as Dennis Miller used to say: That's only my opinion. I could be wrong......
Since we've mentioned Michelle, don't the same posting rules apply....?

Looks are a matter of taste, the ideas of both of these women have me salivating...then, if you add the photos...well, that's for another website that charges monthly fees.
You miss the point entirely.
At issue is how old she appears relative to her age. Age is not only chronological, it is also physical and mental. And the relative rates of aging are an excellent indicator of both mental and physical health.
The simple fact is that she looks much younger than her actual age, dramatically so. Indeed, few people seem to do as well. I know I haven't. I'd bet you look every one of your years as well.
National Review, Weekly Standard--and other conservative pubs will not give Ann the time of day.
Ann is extravagantly good-looking, but she does not look to be in her mid-twenties. The photos are "managed", and she goes heavy on the makeup for TV. I invite you to buy "Is It True What They Say About Ann?"--you'll see the makeup in process. On her good days, she can pass for her mid-thirties. There comes a time when a thin woman is forty, and she'd better get just a tad of padding or she's gonna look gaunt. Where it starts to show first is the collar-bones, and Ann generally .
