Teachers, including college professors come from the lower classes. Their education is a thin verneer underneath which you find both sympathy and disdain for the have nots. They are not well-connected to success in other parts of the society. In this respect, they are very different from the traditional European aristocracy and its tradition of nobless oblige. You have to know these affirmative action types. They are very defensive.

yes,

but a lotta college professors are from the upper middle or more classes.

that's what feminism's all about:

an elite that dictates to the masses,

by passing the people of less means who are religious and given to the u.s. constitution.

these people couldn't make it in a meritocracy. they hate business.

It's arguable, in view of the notable failures of higher education, that many professors are not particularly well connected to success even in academia.
