D.C. Chapter's 7th Annual Freep of the White House Correspondents Association Dinner 4/30/05
Sunday, April 17, 2005 | Kristinn

Posted on 04/17/2005 10:19:19 AM PDT by kristinn

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us at our 7th annual freep against liberal bias in the media outside the White House Correspondents Association dinner at the Washington Hilton on Saturday, April 30.

This is your chance to take your complaints and encouragement directly to the media bigwigs (and politicos) in person. Over the years, we've engaged in discussions outside the dinner with the likes of Al Franken, Christopher Hitchens, Matt Drudge, Peggy Noonan, Ann Coulter, Chip Reid, James Carville, Joe Scarborough and many others.

Last year, actress Drew Barrymore filmed us for a documentary she was working on.

Two years ago, the Garofalo Awards we presented outside the dinner were featured on Fox & Friends.

This year, we will be presenting the Faux News Awards to those in the media who ginned up news and scandals with very little or no factual basis. The nomination thread for the awards will be posted shortly.

After the freep, we will continue our tradition of going to the Hilton's bar and watching the dinner on C-SPAN while having dinner and drinks.

When: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2005

Where: The southeast corner of the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and T Street, NW, Washington, D.C.

Bring: Signs and banners.

Parking, Transportation: Limited street parking is available. Pay parking garages are available in the Hilton (enter from 19th St.) and on Florida Ave at 20th St. The Dupont Circle Metro Station (Q St. exit) on the Red Line is the closest Metro station (about three blocks.) to the Hilton.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: no violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

We would not have all the fun if more of the FR got out to local sites. The country is rich with targets these days.

I've heard rumors that Hanoi Jane is an invited guest. Hopefully, some of us old farts will be able to give her the reception she deserves.

Monday night bump...

Most recently, Boston Globe screws up,
Time Magazine screws up,

I wonder which of the MSM will screw up next?

Geez, let me think about this some...

should I believe the reporting from these people who claim superiority because they are trained professionals, respected credentialed journalists, and not just pajama-clad rightwing bloggers and such?

Nah.

April 30th, eh? I'll check my calendar...

"Waco, Texas!!"
(To be sung to Neil Young's "Pocahontas")

Just southward from South Dallas...
Was a scarey firefight...
Agents, they were slaughtered...
When Big Guv'ment flexed its might!!
F.B.I. man...was Force really needed?!!
Guv'ment soldiers...made babies scream!!

Slick killed folks 'cuz we're Christian...
And Left cut the Righteous down!!
RATS love to abort babies...
Slick said, "Gun 'em down!!"
Left loathes Righteousness...RATS love Commie SCUM!!
F.B.I. man, why'd y'all burn 'em up?!

Left massacred our youngest ones... (YIE-YIE-YIE!!)
Willie ran over them with tanks!! (YIE-YIE-YIE!!)
Slick's firebombs silenced children's screams...
And Left's LIES were what really stank!!
Lib'ral paradox..."Was Slick's Massacre FAIR?!!"
Slim's got Indian blood...it's Slick's scalp I'll snare!!

(Guitar pickin'...)

Bill Clinton is a TYRANT!!
Re-Impeach Slick's arse to Hell!!
Let's FReep fer Waco, Texas...
We'll celebrate our wealth!!
We ain't mournin'...it's Justice we seek!!
It's a bold stand...Fer Justice FReep!!

Sure, maybe Janet Reno... (YIE-YIE-YIE!!)
Will LIE like a good hire... (YIE-YIE-YIE!!)
But I know Willie really good...
And Bill Clinton ordered "FIRE!!"
Burnt that Compound down...killed them Christian "FReeaks!!"
Janet Reno...Waco, Texas still stinks!!
Mister Clinton...Waco, Texas still stinks!!

If you were only out of the slammer, we could go together.

14 more years! I'm counting the days. By the way, I see they moved you to a new cell block.
