And we can use Time's big screw-up at the D.C. Chapter's 7th Annual Freep of the White House Correspondents Association Dinner, on April 30th.
The WHCA, remember them? They're the ones who screamed bloody murder when they found out that Jeff Gannon used a day pass, a nom de plume, and White House press releases to write his reports from the White House Press Room; and he wasn't a "professional" like the MSM is. hahahaha
Great song Doug! But I'm afeared ya got entirely too much time on yer hands.....LOL
Since TIME cropped the photos in their print editions, their misrepresentation is deliberate -- not just a screw-up.
How stupid they are! The people at Time responsible for having this picture posted probably belong to Communists for Kerry. Morons!
Did a quick google on Katja Heinemann.
I suspect that she was just the photographer and not responsible for how the picture was used.

damn... I'm the guy holding that sign.. you can barely see my face but this link shows us PWs at Herald Sq in a different angle...
"...to demonstrate how Time Magazine used the editing of photos for propaganda purposes..."
Oh c'mon. It's one photo in one article that just got cropped so they could fit it on the page. They aren't some political instrument trying to influence people. they're just getting the news out. /sarcasm
(Just noticed my tagline again - seems to fit well with this discussion!)
This made the magazine, BTW. Here:
BUT time carefully cut out the "Communists for Kerry," "Criminals for Gun Control," and "Liberating Iraqi Children from Tyranny is Costing too Much," presumably in a Dan Ratheresque effort to create a false impression that these were actual protestors.
Yeah, for TIME, if the truth doesn't fit the preconceived notion...
...change the truth.
