Ted Nugent to Fellow NRAers: Get Hardcore
Yahoo ^ | April 17th, 2005

Posted on 04/17/2005 4:42:17 PM PDT by missyme

With an assault weapon in each hand, rocker and gun rights advocate Ted Nugent urged National Rifle Association members to be "hardcore, radical extremists demanding the right to self defense."

Speaking at the NRA's annual convention Saturday, Nugent said each NRA member should try to enroll 10 new members over the next year and associate only with other members.

"Let's next year sit here and say, 'Holy smokes, the NRA has 40 million members now,'" he said. "No one is allowed at our barbecues unless they are an NRA member. Do that in your life."

Nugent sang and played a guitar painted with red and white stripes for the crowd at Houston's downtown convention center.

He drew the most cheers when he told gun owners they should never give up their right to bear arms and should use their guns to protect themselves if needed.

"Remember the Alamo! Shoot 'em!" he screamed to applause. "To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want 'em dead. Get a gun and when they attack you, shoot 'em."

Not happening. I find most Americans want a pleasant day, no harsh words, and certainly do not want to upset their enemies because their enemies might say something bad about them.

Ted Nugent who created the "Rack 'Em and Stack 'em" video?

This guy has no appreciation for the true ethic of hunting. Most True Freepers who take guns & hunting seriously consider him bona-fide moron.

Hey if you want to know how bad the liberals have stacked the "rights" of criminals here in New York city against law abiding citizens, check this out; There is a law that says all New york city taxi drivers MUST pick up all people no matter how menacing they look, no matter how crazy they look, even if that person has a gun in his hand, under threat of license revocation. If some gang members hail a taxi, that taxi driver MUST pick them up. Now listen to this..Guess what the drivers get to defend themselves with? Nothing! Absolutely nothing, no clubs, no tire irons, no bats, no knives, especially no guns, nothing nothing nothing, not even a butter knife. But the criminals? They get to hail the taxi and blow away the driver because they know the driver must pick them up and know he is unarmed. This is sickest example of liberals idiocy I have ever read and one of the worst violations of constitutional rights in this country. To actually pass laws that invite criminals to rob you while at the same time render you absolutely defenseless is sick. There`s a reason Hitlery Clinton picked New York. It`s the absolute sphincter hole capital of liberalism on the east coast.

Young man, that is the last time I expect you to use the word "Hitlery". It is totally offensive to our Jewish friends. Not cause all the Jews like the Clintons (30% don't), but because that word trivializes the Holocaust.

How are we ever going to win the Jewish vote if people like you insist on ranting in such fashion?

God, Guns, & Rock 'N' Roll
by Ted Nugent
Regnery Publishing, 315 pages

You've got to love a guy who, when asked about animal rights, talks about their rights to garlic and butter. Ted Nugent is a rare breed--a rocker and wild man who takes a surprisingly conservative view of the world, from the freedom to bear arms to his own opposition to drug use. Like a blend of Rush Limbaugh and Mick Jagger.

You know , Hitler asked towns to disarm themselves in order to receive leniency , before he slaughtered them unarmed. I wonder if Bush is giving the Iraqi's the same lame promise. At least Clinton allowed them to remain armed , before he burned women and children alive. I wonder what kind of grace American's will receive from Baby Bush?

Please clarify. Among other explanation(s)Who is "baby Bush"? One of the twins?

Hope to see him in concert this summer at the Darrington Rock Festival, Darrington, WA. He's the headliner.

Sonny, you have a lot to learn about building a majority. Stick around and you may learn. Till the you and Billy Kristol can hang out and determine which Republicans are acceptable. That type of Republican gave us Bob Dole and the second campaign of the original Bush. Both were losers.

Friend we both agree that the only way to build Republican majorities are by addition, not subtraction. That is what the late, great President Reagan taught us.

By supporting the Presidents agenda in the Middle East, and perhaps invading Iran and Syria (depending on what the President decides), we will win Jewish voters to our cause. If we take the Jews out of the Democratic party, the Democratic party will be no more.

What Ronald Reagan taught us was to be glib, plain spoken, call a spade a spade, and ignore the calls to moderate. He was a man of truth and honesty.

And friend Hitlery as a term has been around since the Genesis of FR. Live with it.

A very important point that has been lost in the fray about "2nd Amendment" rights:

I don't see where the 2nd Amendment has anything to do with personal defense or the weapons one might choose to use. It doesn't have anything to do with hunting rights or the weapons one might use to hunt with.

The 2nd amendment was written by a governing body who had just had a desperate struggle with a colonizing empire and it had been noted that one of England's methods was to try and disadvantage the colonist with regard to weapons. Further the framers of our constitution recognized that there existed the potential for the government they were creating to get too powerful and the citizens needed the right to bear arms and to bring arms to bear on an overbearing federal government.

Is there any doubt why gun rights have been so hotly debated and why some in powerful government positions become nervous about an armed population? No problem if the government is not corrupt or neglecting the needs of the citizenry. Hummmmmmmmmm

Yeah, the NRA needs someone to come along and kick 'em in the pants and get them to be a little less conciliatory. We belong to the GOA, NRA is too liberal. :-)
