I watch only FOX. I could care less which Leftie Liberal morning show is "ahead".

One of the things my cable box does is allow you to select a home channel when you switch on the tv. Before I go channel surfing anywhere Fox News Channel is the first thing seen.

I just get peeved at the martyr status the rest of the media gave her for getting a routine exam. I know her husband passed from colon cancer, but the hero worship went a little overboard.

I never got that whole perky thing. To me she looks like a dwarf not cute and perky.

You might well be right. I wasn't regularly watching Katie at the time, so haven't focused on the acclaim she got. But in any case, the vulgar criticism she frequently gets on FR for having done something useful befuddles me.

It's the media went overboard on playing it up. It was like John Effin' Kerry served in Vietnam. They had to remind you constantly.

I think your threads and blog are helping depose the queen of cute. Although, I guess we should careful about what we wish for - we could wind up with Ann Curry every...single...morning. THAT would be waaaaaay more than I could take.

"So far this season, the "Today" ratings lead has averaged 662,000 viewers, down from almost 1.3 million last year at the same time, according to Nielsen Media Research. Five years ago, "Today" regularly won by nearly 2 million. "

Kewl, a 50% hit in one year and closer to 80% over five. The trend is our friend....

Thanks, I.S. If Curry ever took over I couldn't imagine tracking her the same way I do Katie. Ann makes Katie look like an intellectual heavyweight. But I'd be entirely shocked if the NBC honchos ever gave Curry the job.

I don't even know you anymore, glgb. ;^) Seriously though, I never saw the colonoscopy she got, but from what I heard it was a giggly little lovefest that wasn't really taken seriously as it was happening. I don't really know that that warrents vulgar critcism, but I'm sure some of her vulgar Criticisms of America and the military could.
