If nothing else, Ted Nugent isn't going to have to relinquish his "Motor City Madman" nickname any time in the near future.
In a speech given to the National Rifle Association's national convention in Houston, Nugent brandished a pair of assault rifles while urging NRA members to recruit other gun-packing nuts into the gang. He went so far as to urge NRA members not to associate with non-members, and to become "hardcore, radical extrimists."
Siezed by a Second Amendment furor, Nugent then whipped up the crowd condoning shoot-to-kill vigalante justice. The spectacle, urged members to pull their heat and kill a variety of criminals, from child molesters to carjackers.
"No court case. No parole. No early release!" he screamed.
Nugent's disdain for the American judcicial system is a fresh development. March 30, the judicial system awarded him $100 thousand in damages after the Muskegon Summer Celebrataion in Michigan pulled him from its June 2003 bill. Organizers yanked Nugent from the bill after a May 2003 interview on Denver's 103.5 KRFX radio station, when he used a racial slur in a quote attributed to one of the Funk Brothers -- whom were named by Nugent as one of his all time heroes in the interview.

Sounds good to me!If more people kill criminials in the middle of them commiting crimes the crime rate would go down to almost zero practically overnight.Wich would be the worst thing that could happen to this author because he and his gun grabbiung groups would not be able to scare the sheeple into passing more gun control unless the crime rate is hi and the n.o.w. would not get any memmbership unless women are succesfully raped and turn to hating all men afterwords.Wich is why these groups oppose all guns if there were no gun laws these motherf----rs would have to get a real job to earn money and they would be fired become homeless and starve within 2 months becauese they are not competent to do anything exept rant and rave and bitch and be wrong on ever issue they take up.

Well having seen the man in action at the last NRA convention, I find that he is very good at getting his point across even if it is over the top!
More criminals die by gun-toting people will make the world a better place and clean up the gene pool a tad.
To: freepatriot32
I was listening to an otherwise conservative radio talkshow yesterday morning and they were talking about the Nuge's speech.......the one guy said he believed Nugent using absurdity in his extreme statements in order to promote the point that the gungrabbers are the nuts not gun owners. The other guy wasn't buying it.
I did like his idea about all NRA members recruiting 10 new members each this year - and only associating with members or other 2A believers.

Thanks for the ping. The Nuge is great; he kinda went over the top here, IMNSHO, but it would be easy to be swept up in the moment, eh? I prefer to speak softly and carry... well, you know how it goes.
The gastric distress his comments must be giving to the anti-self-defense pinkos is alone worth it. $:-)

MY only lament is that, of those few people who actually end up having to shoot in self-defense, most haven't spent nearly enough time at the range.
If circumstances are bad enough to warrant firing a gun at some would-be perp to defend yourself, they're bad enough to warrant shooting to kill. If that's not ice-cold Law in your State; keep kicking your legislature in the crotch until they fix it.

I agree, self defense laws have gone too far to the other side. One has to not only protect himself, but in the heat of battle, make very precise judgements on lethal force. This is the law however, and we should know it, follow it carefully, to be able to defend ourselves against both an attacker and the inevitable criminal and civil legal action.
There are a lot of misconceptions out there, particularly about "consensual fighting" and use of lethal force in self-defense.

Mutual combat upon a sudden quarrel? Gotta be something a lawyer dreamed up. Silly. Part of it also negates the first article listed as how can you know wether or not your attacker means to end you in a bar fight? Shouldn't that just be pre-supposed?
Then again, I'm not the type to swing first either. I may be biased.

I want every single member of Free Republic to join the NRA. All of us. Everyone. Even if you don't own a gun, join anyway. They are the largest and most effective lobbying group we have.
If you're already a member, put the NRA initials in your tagline.
Thanks and let's get it done.
