Where did that 606,000 new acres of middle to old growth forests come from? They would have only aged 10 years in this time frame. This article makes no sense.

Oh my, you mean we've been duped again by the envorweenies? The whackos have destroyed people's lives, jobs and businesses, all for the sake of "feel good science". I call that domestic terrorism. Find the SOBs responsible and send them to GITMO!

" A decade after the Clinton administration reduced logging in national forests in the Northwest, scientists have concluded the forests are growing, but the population of the threatened northern spotted owl has declined."

BOO HOO...must have been all the people saving the trees and wiping with a spotted owl instead...

The new gimmick is to define a "habitat", and then stipulate that the species is endangered in "that habitat".

The spotted owl crisis did what it set out to do: bankrupt the logging industry.

EnvironMENTALists applauded and moved on to some other manufactured crisis...screw the owls.

The more trees, the more shade, the more shade, the fewer freckles, maybe we need to start using paint guns.
