"Why is U.S. Border Patrol demonstrating such an obvious double standard? If the Minutemen came to Arizona to watch the border for signs of illegal immigration, why did they fail to report Mr. Hannity? Because Mr. Hannity is one of the good guys you left-wing lunatic democrats and your ACLU toadies!

So, the Arizona Democratic Caucus, uh, lied? As in they knew that he had not done what they accused him of doing, and went ahead and sent out this press release anyway?Yeah! He asked while doing it. He said stuff like "I'm legal here, right? I'm not violating any laws if I'm within the lines, correct? I have how many feet? Three feet?"
(They may not be his actual quotes word for word, but you get the drift)
To: blaquebyrd
It would stop him from promoting his books at least until the swelling went down. You may not like the man, but advocating beating the crap out of him is uncalled for.

Say what you will about Hannity...he knew exactly what he was doing and stayed on American soil even though he crossed the fence. The ACLU activists and the Dems are "goring" themselves over this issue and making themselves look like the asses...taking issue with Hannity while hundreds of thousands of true illegals cross.
Whether you like it or not, whether you like him or not...or any of the rest of us for that matter...Hannity is giving significant prime time coverage to the Minutemen and this issue...and that is good. Why would those same minutemen kick someone who is doing them such a great favor? Answer: They will not. The issue needs the coverage and they are getting it from a sympathetic, large audience source. They know that is good and will not take foolish action to ruin it and thereby turn into their own worst enemy.

"On what basis?" Ok, I'll admit it. Just as a favor to me. Hannity annoys the hell out of me with all of his self promotion and talking over people. He's like Geraldo on speed.

Where is the place on FreeRepublic for
The Most Ridiculous Article of The Day!?? Sean was obviously demonstrating where barbed wire had been cut to make a hole for the illegals to pass through on this well worn path.
The first federal law below is of course always implemented. The second federal law rarely.
Federal law, specifically 19 U.S.C. Section 1459(a), requires all "individuals arriving in the United States other than by vessel, vehicle, or aircraft [to] enter the United States only at a border crossing point designated by the Secretary; and immediately report the arrivals and present themselves, and all articles accompanying them for inspection; to the customs officer at the customs facility designated for that crossing point."
According to 19 U.S.C. Section 1459(e), anyone who intentionally enters the United States at a place other than a designated border crossing can be imprisoned for up to one year and fined up to $5,000. Mr. Hannity faces neither of these penalties. Individuals apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol do.

Mr. Hannity's border violations were videotaped by ACLU Legal Observers. The Border Patrol was contacted, but they chose not to arrest or cite Mr. Hannity for his willful violation of federal law. Likewise, Minutemen in the vicinity of the incident did not take the opportunity to turn Mr. Hannity over to federal officials, as they have allegedly done with all other illegal immigrants apprehended on the border this month.
I see no double standard on the part of the minutemen. They have stated they will inform the authorities of violators. The proper authorities were notified. The border patrol did not take it seriously as it was a publicity stunt, and not an actual case of illegal entry.

Sean Hannity is an idiot for pulling this stunt, even though he didn't actually break the law.
The author of this article is showing his true colors by trying to say the Minutemen have a double standard.
Hanity was reported to the Border patrol by the ACLU, there was nothing for them to do on this issue which wasn't already done.
To: concerned about politics
Stupid Democrats. If they had brains, they'd be as intelligent as barn flies.
Or bright as clams.

Sean Hannity is an idiot for pulling this stunt I don't think he is an idiot for demonstrating on national TV just how poorly secured our southern border is.
