Rampaging Elephants

My Summary

Around 3:20pm, Apr. 20, six elephants escaped from Children's Grand Park in Seoul, S. Korea. They rampaged  in the neighborhood, injuring one woman and causing extensive property damage. Scores of firemen and policemen had to spend hours to capture them and bring them back safely.

Elephants were making a round in the park to lure more crowd to their daily show. A few dozen pigeons were munching on crumbs left on the road ahead. They were so busy eating that they could not realize elephants are coming. When they realized that a giant beast is only a few steps away, they flew out all at once. A sudden movement of so many birds and resulting noise scared the lead female elephant, and she started to run. Other elephants all followed the lead elephant, breaking the park fence and out to the street. And they spread out to various places, one in a garden of private residence, another in the police station parking lot, and others into a barbecue restaurant, munching on carrots.

I saw an elephant maul a man on TV years ago.

It tripped me out.

Very funny stuff, this is.

This reminds me of the thread a few weeks ago about the elephants who were drinking beer or some alcoholic drink, getting drunk and storming the towns.

What's with the elephants? It must be Mercury in retrograde.

I hope the elephants are all okay.

What's with the elephants? Maybe they don't like the funky florally-green uniforms their handlers are wearing.

And don't get me started on the powder-blue cowboy hats.

I have been to Childrens Grand Park in Seoul. Koreans would often pelt the animals with stones, soju bottle or whatever other trash they could find. If I were an elephant I would want to escape that dump too.

How much do a pair of elephant glasses cost, I wonder.

Elephants are extremely intelligent and respond well to good keepers. They will test their keepers like a child does an adult keeper. You have to be firm but not overbearing. I suspect that since these animals went for the kitchen that they may have been hungry. There should have been several experienced people with them. It's very fortunate that no one was hurt.

But for some reason, nobody wants to talk about the elephant in the middle of the room!

I thought they were employees of the Bar-B-Q restaurant trying to look Texan. Lol

In Thailand's north, elephants will hijack truck transporting sugar cane and such.

One will stop traffic while the others will rob the truck.

How many carrots does an Elephant eat?

Answer: As many as they want.

Hope she got into the fridge and found some bok choy.
