Do some research, there are no hormones in animal feed.

The American Beef industry is castrate based, that is we eat steers. They are given an time release hormone implant (120 days) that replaces some of the hormones that they would have produced naturally if they hadn't had their balls cut off. The implant is long exhausted before slaughter.

American Beef has less hormones in it than does European Beef which is not castrate based and tougher and stringier.

There is no benefit to over using or double implanting steers, it just costs money and doesn't increase growth or meat quality.

Hormones in feed for chickens and hogs has been illegal since the late 50's although the fad had already been discontinued voluntarily because it wasn't actually useful.

This hormones in animal food is just more slander from the unwashed vegan left.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Hormones in animal feed are causing today's children to mature much earlier.

It's not easy, is it?

But would you be appalled to find out that I enjoy the fight?

"I cannot praise a fugitive and cloistered virtue, unexercised and unbreathed, that never sallies out to see her adversary, but slinks out of the race, when that immortal garland is to be run for, not without dust and heat." (John Milton, 'Areopagitica,' 1641). Pardon the editorial mistakes; it's from memory.

I think you're right about the teacher, but it tests our character, doesn't it. It means we have to be better parents, and it sounds to me (and obviously to other FReepers) that you're getting it done.
