The legal definition of 'sodomy' has been codified differently in the several states.

• some states only consider it as anal sex between two males, as in 'sodom' and gomorrah.
• some states broaden it to include anal activity between a man and a woman, NOT married.
• some broadent it further to include anal activity between any two people of any sex married or not.
• some states broaden it further to include ORAL sexual stimulation of any kind, even though it is biblically acceptable via song of solomon references.
• some states broaden it further to include ANY TYPE of sexual activity of any kind, even self stimulation (so I have been told by lawyers who care about this kind of stuff), if it is ANYTHING other than man on top, married couples only, missionary position, with NO exceptions, for paraplegics, or cripples, or midgets or anything at all.

As to the details on a state by state, nation by nation basis, I have NO clue, but there is a reason why Clintong's response worked, "it all depends on your definition of sex."

All sexual acitivity is NOT intercourse. and the primary meaning of sodomy is "sodding" oneself with the anal/fecal materials of another of the same sex.

the broadening of definitions, occured to make the alternative and sometimes societally unacceptable behaviors like oral sex or woman on top, between married couples, equally repulsive and illegal under the law, as the grotesque anal sex between homosexual males.

some religious law makers, and those responding to political pressure of their day, expanded what was a simple definition of sodomy 'sod on me' (to put it one way), into other behaviors that certain religious groups found offensive, as in 'oral sex'. Oral sex is offensive to some groups because it provided sexual gratification (aka as orgasm), without any chance of conception. Those religious groups then, as they do now, consider such behaviors as evil as murder... spilling seed, with no chance of conception.

... and make no mistake about it, there are dozens of folks here, who would disagree with MY explanation, or any explanation of what the terms mean. Which explains WHY we have such laws to begin with.

oral sex is not the biblical definition of sodomy. it is a state expansion thereof for religiously correct reasons.

Without going too far down the road of explanation, sodomy in the common definition is simply anal intercourse. "......the female victim was raped and sodomized last night........" means that she was raped front and back. I'm done.

Bring the book to a school function, and at some point during the evening, get it out and start reading portions of it in a very loud voice to the assembled parents. At the very least, a discussion would ensue.

This is what GLSDEN is teaching in our schools. Children don't just come up with sodomy from nowhere. These tolerance classes are a disguise for what is really going on. They tell kids how to perform sodomy and that it's natural and healthy. THIS is the result. and it happens more and more today. THey give these kids information they are neither old enough or mature enough to handle.

We MUST get these political activist organization out of our schools!
