Your boycott will only do damage to the reputation of British Academia. Should you want to makea point to Israeli Institutions I suggest you gather a petition or write a letter. Censoring Academics for alleged censorship seems hypocritical. Two wrongs do not make a right. Why only target Israel for the boycott? What about Saudi Arabia, where Jews and Christians are not allowed to practice their religion? What about Zimbabwe, Iran and many other nations who, unlike Israel, have no democracy and no human rights charter?

This boycott is ill-timed, counter productive and irrational. I urge you to repeal this decision.

(And for your information I am a non-Jewish English resident)

Since I am British I feel it is only right that I should lead the call to freep these people. Please be polite but firm and point out the hundreds of reasons why the boycott is a bad idea.

The BBC indicates no debate was allowed and only one side presented. This is a group in the full control of the Palestinians. Nothing can change them except the refusal of the British universities to comply and action here--i.e. denying AUT members visas ..

Theses bigots claim they are anti-Israeli but not anti-Jewish. What rot. If Israel was an Arab country and everything else being equal, would they still be boycotting? Of course not. Why don't they boycott Syrians for their occupation of Lebanon? What scumbags.
