In this case it is not a problem. Kind of hard for each party to hold hands using their right hands and walk in the same direction.
If you are eating at what we used to call a "goat grab," where you eat with your hands from a common food plate, you should use your right hand to grab the food and eat it.
ok
thanks for info
You are much to logical for many on FR
The interns were holding glands, not hands.
LOL!!
"It's also an Arab custom for men to kiss other men in greeting, but I doubt the President would plant one on Abdullah's cheek. .....at least I hope not."
Yes, he damned sure did. What the hell is this shit?
"Abdullah and his small entourage were nearly a half-hour late, but Bush gave Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler a warm embrace and a kiss on both cheeks in welcome. Bush kept a firm, guiding grip on his guest's hand as they walked up the path, past a field of bluebonnets that the president took care to point out, to a new office building on a corner of the sprawling ranch."

Please tell me that the Arab is old, nearly infirmed, and needed a steady hand to keep him from falling and breaking a hip. I still do not get the kiss. Please tell me it ain't so. I am not needing to think this.
thanks...i am sure i am wrong most of the time but I try to just follow the money, follow the power, etc., and see where it leads.
....but certainly not Texans.
Can you imagine Ronald Reagan kissing Saudi cheek? Never happened.
Doesn't he know that guy is our (America's) enemy??????
"Please tell me that the Arab is old, nearly infirmed, and needed a steady hand to keep him from falling and breaking a hip."
posters who saw the live footage say this is indeed the case.
" I still do not get the kiss. Please tell me it ain't so. I am not needing to think this."
Because it is an arab custom and his relationship with that man is one of the more important strategic relationships the US has. apparently his family has ties to house of saud as well.
"Doesn't he know that guy is our (America's) enemy??????"
Who would you suggest he be replaced with in control of the saudi oil fields who would be more amenable to US interests?
THIS is why we pay our President the Big Bucks!
Do the dems take a chance and try to make political capital from this and risk offending the homosexual block, or do they let this one ride? They have made so much about the ties of the Bushes with the Saudis over the years, this might be what they need to demogogue the issue.

I know the feeling, Tex. I put my arms arond my sons, but there name ain't Abdula either!
"Can you imagine Ronald Reagan kissing Saudi cheek? Never happened."
No and President Ronald Reagan never kissed their ass, either!
I know what you are saying, and when I greet long, lost acquaintances a hug is appropriate, but I am always looking at them out of the corner of my eye,...you know....just in case. I stopped holding hands with my Dad when I was about 12 or 13. But we hugged right up until the day he died. Family is different. Let the French sons-a-bitches do that kind of stuff...hell they like it. This is a Texas, home grown man with a sac to his knees. Perhaps it was a slow motion submission hold and George was gonna tap him out. I don't know.
I don't care what type of spin folks want to put on it, two grown-ass men holding hands just doesn't look manly. Not in San Francisco, Saudi or Crawford.
The liberal media might pick it up. I hope George knows what hes doing but it made me sick to my stomach just seeing the pictures.
