DFU SONG: Mexico (stinking corrupt hellhole of a country)
DFU SONG | 4-2005 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

Posted on 04/25/2005 8:31:20 PM PDT by doug from upland

MIDI - MEXICO

(musical intro)

Way down there, they are all planning to leave
Load the van, they'll drink tequila and heave
The U.S., they'll drag down and they won't grieve

Oh, Mexico
The country is a hellhole of corruption, we know
We'll be so screwed if we don't stop the flow
Illegals from Mexico

Liberals want voters so that they can win
One world dream...this is how they will begin
We must share...that's because, we all are kin

Oh, Mexico
The country is a hellhole of corruption, we know
We'll be so screwed if we don't stop the flow
Illegals from Mexico

With them they're bringing a boatload of drugs
In our streets, you can see grandma get mugged
Leaders, hey --- we are really getting bugged

Oh, Mexico
The country is a hellhole of corruption, we know
We'll be so screwed if we don't stop the flow
Illegals from Mexico

Oh, Mexico
The country is a hellhole of corruption, we know
We'll be so screwed if we don't stop the flow
Illegals from Mexico

We've had it, Mexico
We'll make your people go
We've had it, Mexico
Big buses in a row
Your whole darn nation blows

We've had it, Mexico
We'll make your people go
We've had it, Mexico

Mexico is a thrid-world crapfest. From the corrupt street cops to the slimball government officials it is a rotten fish.

The one thing I have never understood: they come from there to here Because they don't like it there.

But upon arriving, they immediatly start trying to turn Our here into Their there. Just stay there.

Grace Slick wrote and recorded a very forgettable song called "Mexico" in 1970. Its about the marijuana traffic from there to here and how the government shouldn't interfere. In one line she sings that Mexico is under the thumb of a man called Richard and he's come to call himself King. Sound familiar?

Funny, that wasn't my observation when I was there... In fact, compared to most of the rest of the Western Hemisphere it's paradise... compare it to, say, Central and most of South America.

I guess one sees what they wanna see. If that is the case then I think I enjoyed my visit more than you enjoyed yours.

My Mexico experience has been in setting of the average local. The life experience of the average Jose is not grand. The cops and the street gangs are hard to distinguish from one another. Mexico will improve when they a)get a group of honest officials and b) dump socialism.

Your experience of the "average Jose" is a little like trying to find the experience of the "average Joe" here in the USA. Mexico, like the USA, has a wild variety of living conditions, political climates, and economic opportunities.

Quite frankly, I'm planning on retiring to Mexico provided the Mexican government reforms their awful property laws.

You are correct that history of Mexican government, starting with the Spanish, has been a history of dismal failure. Then again, what former Spanish colony has a good government?

"Quite frankly, I'm planning on retiring to Mexico provided the Mexican government reforms their awful property laws."

You can say that again! Just hope that a local official or patron does not take aliking to your hacienda and "discover" a problem with your deed. I have read the accounts of gringo expats who have had that happen. Best case scenario, you pay a hefty bribe. Worst case scenario, you lose the property to the person who coveted your property.

In my office we have an ex-CIA field agent who has many a tale to tell regarding government officials in Viejo Mexico.

Very good. I'm speaking as one who actually LOVES Mexico and who has traveled there on several occassions. Just pissed off to see what it has become over the past 20 years.

Pancho was a bandit, boys, [his horse fast] and his hands were free
He wore his gun outside his pants for all the honest world to feel
Pancho met his match, ya know, on the desert down in Mexico
No one heard the dyin' words, but that's the way it goes.

All the Federales say, they could'a had him any day
They only let him go so long, out of kindness I suppose.
