The story makes me sick as well...unreal.
It's very noticeable that as Freepers often point out, Islam is not a religion of peace but a religion that incites to violence.
It's also noticeable that this violence is most often against the weak, the helpless, and the oppressed.
Islam appears to be a religion of slavemasters and slaves. A religion of "warriors" who delight in torturing and killing the weak and helpless. A religion of cowardly bullies.
Nor do I think this are merely distortions of Islam, because this is precisely how Muhammed behaved: enslaving the weak and helpless, killing unarmed prisoners, breaking his own sworn oath in order to win sneaky victories against those he dared not meet in open battle.
Christianity, although not all Christians live up to its ideals, is a religion of love and self-sacrifice. Islam is a religion of murderous violence, cruelty, and greed for power over others.
Just to play devil's advocate ... Pakistan has the biggest problem with honor killings. They are rare in Indonesia, the most populous Muslim country in the world.
So there is a strong cultural influence here, apparently more so than religion.
I agree ... I believe Indonesia still has a female Prime Minister. This would go over like a lead balloon in most Muslim countries.
My opinion of Islamic run govts. keeps getting dimmer and dimmer...this is very sad..

What you said and what the article said make my teeth chatter in simultaneous disbelief that something so horrible could happen and total agreement with what you wrote.
