Nixon actually won the 1960 election too. He resigned because he had some honor and decency.
Nixon was not impeached.

Peter has the goods on her. She committed the largest campaign fundraising violation in the history. For the first time ever, the campaign finance director of a senator's campaign has been indicted. Her troubles are just beginning. I am counting on FReepers to be of big help in the effort to stop her.

Andrew Johnson was the first impeached president and survived removal from office by 1 vote. Clinton was second to be impeached. Nixon was never impeached.
God, but I hope you are right. It is SO VERY DIFFICULT to sit and watch the Clintons get away time and time again. Makes one wonder if there is such a thing as "Justice."

Sorry .. that's incorrect .. Nixon was NEVER impeached.
There was discussion of it in the House - but no charges were even brought - because there was not enough evidence to support the charges.
Nixon resigned - rather than put the country through such a process. Nixon's CRIME: He covered up the break-in. Even though he didn't plan it or organize it - he covered it up.
Clinton - on the otherhand - was so arrogant - he knew he had a democrat packed senate and they would NEVER have him removed from office.
I firmly believe that if he had exposed what happened and exposed the perps - the dems would have been left without somebody to blame. Whoever advised Nixon to cover up the break-in gave Nixon some very bad advice.
But .. after impeachment discussions in the House - NO CHARGES OF IMPEACHMENT WERE EVER MADE - because there was not enough evidence to support any charge.

Sounds promising. I'll keep my fingers crossed. But she is so desperate to be president she will do anything it takes. And the MSM will fall for all her lies unless there is hard unimpeachable evidence.
