Keep 'em coming, if you want! There's no better way to show your love for her, that she meant that much to you!

GoLightly is the most despicable FReeper name I have ever seen.

And anyone else who has had to endure the night-before-colonoscopy GoLightly binge will agree. Yucko.

My Dad had one of those crazy co-workers/friends with a very lovely and charming wife. I don't know how she put up with his antics, but she did.

One day, they were in a department store and when she got to the counter she realized that she didn't have any money. So she turned to her hubby who was standing behind her and said, "I need money."

He looked at her and said, "Who are you?"

She said, "This isn't the time for that -- give me some money!"

He looked around her to the cashier and said, "Can you help me? I don't know this woman!"

At this point, she was obviously enraged, and so were the people behind them. He let it go on for awhile, then finally handed her some money to "get her off his back."

She didn't talk to him for awhile after that.

No, actually, you don't. When the presidency goes pop culture to get a few laughs, you don't get it at all.

Sheesh. Take a deep one and chill.

Just when folks were cutting you some slack you reaffirm the suspicion that you drag your knuckles.

"I do, I've SEEN 'em!"

Was your Mom's name Gracie Allen?

My mother was a very first class lady. When I was getting married, we had a girl's party planned for the night before, me, my best girlfriend and my two sisters. Mom was a first class lady, but she often got her words wrong - she asked me if we were going to have the "Clydesdales" at my bridal shower, intending to say Chippendales. She was kidding, and her malaprop made it all the more hilarious.

That is such a sweet story. Unfortunately, I don't have a mom like that, but it sounds like something my late Daddy would have said.

Mrs Bush is a first-class lady

I thought so too until I heard that vulgar stuff coming out of her mouth. Does she kiss the President of the United States with that mouth?

Oh, that's right. The President should ignore what's happening in mainstream culture. Next thing you know, people will ask him how much a gallon of milk costs.

She was delightfully funny! The best one was about Lynne Cheney's new SS codename.

Oh I have one about my grandma. We were shopping at the grocery story one day- I was around 15. We walk through the produce section, and my grandma holds up one of those giant leeks. She says, full volume, 'This looks like somebody's d*ck!'. Yeah, I ran for the doors. Never looked at grandpa the same again.

LOL, not Gracie Allen, but thinking about it, she had a lot of her attributes! My dad was pretty longsuffering about it in a way, not that he didn't have a sense of humor, he was just not as outgoing as my mom was, and believed in acting with a certain sense of decorum. Dad has since loosened up quite a bit, and is quite a funny man himself.

Whoa! LOL! Talk about being blindsided! And at 15, I'll bet you wanted to just d-i-e! I was about that age in the "blow dried" incident, and I was mortified!

I often wonder why I waste my time responding to people like you.

Are you one of those who hate our President, and will do anything to besmirch his character, and his dear, devoted wife, Laura's?

I think that is your agenda.

LOL! That reminds me of the time mom went to a Catholic church. At the end of the service at this particular church people would shake your hand and say "peace be with you", only mom was shaking hands and saying "pleased to meetcha!" My sister, who had married into a catholic family but wasn't catholic, was mor-ti-fied! I thought it was funny!

Some of these same people would have a stroke if they saw the Gridiron dinner! CSPAN showed it one year not too long ago and it was raunchy...

And these events really were never traditionally for broadcast TV.

Oh, and then there was the grandma and crazy bread incident. I was a bit older, and we had just returned home with pizza and crazy bread (which my grandma loved). She holds up a piece, and what does she say? The EXACT same thing as she did in the grocery store. I just smiled and shook my head then. I think I know now why my grandmother was always so happy.
