Imus used to be funny, but he takes himself much too seriously, now. His entire program is nothing but "Me, Me, Me.

That and his fawning over the likes of Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, and every liberal "journalist" he can get on the phone, is the cause of his ratings drop. It will please me when he is just a fast-fading memory

That being said, Contessa Brewer is a F-O-X; much prettier than the vegan freak Imus got stuck with.

Don Imus, who was a pioneer of the insults-pretending-to-be-wit school of morning radio show (Howard Stern, no slouch in the bottom-feeder pool, dropped the pretense altogether) is what he is and has made a nice living being a jerk for public amusement, whether you laughed with him - or at him. His little name-calling spat with a female ex-staffer is typical of his breed of no-talent jerks who have nothing to say but did utter a witty line, oh, maybe a dozen years ago.

Imus is just making a hollow gesture here and to prove it, he can't even come up with more than: "she's fat" as a rejoinder to a young woman's criticism of his less-than-charming personality. Woooo. As if she expected Don Imus to be an off-mike Mister Rogers? Not likely.

I don't think he cares much anymore what anyone says about him, as long as they know he's still breathing and hasn't passed on to that big studio in the sky or, wherever AM radio morning show hosts that spent their career cultivating a bad-boy image that the public bought, hook, line and sinker, end up post-Judgement.

I think these media people get into this name-calling nonsense; first, for the free publicity, of course, and then for our amusement, knowing their calculated foolishness will make ours look far less stupid, at least by our own comparison.
