To follow is a very troubling e-mail that I just received from one of Captain Mike's men:

My dear friends,

I forgot to duck. By the time most of us read this I will be on my way to Germany for treatment. The doctors have decided that I'm too severely injured to continue my job. I don't know when I be back stateside but I will let you know.

This message was dictated to me before the captain lost consciousness. I'm not a doctor so I can't tell you his condition. I can tell you that he did it right and saved the lives of several men in the vicinity. The unit sends its sympathies to his friends and family.

Personally, I found him to be the finest officer that I have ever known and am honored to serve under him. Again, you all have our thanks and our sympathies.

My fellow FREEPers,

I know it's been a while. Well i forgot to duck. By the time most of you see this I will be on my way to Germany for treatment. The war for me is done. My men continue to do the job. This last rash of bombings and attacks are being under reported and I don't know why. Al Queada is getting desparate. I don't know when I'm will RTS. But I do imagine that it will be soon. God I love wireless. LOL! Please keep praying for us.

Why is the email you have slightly different than the previous one posted?

Yes the other mail sails treatment; but doesn't specify a wound.

For a non MIL knowledgeable civ, that can mean decontamination, shots, processing....unless specify 'serious injury'.

Medical was assumed in 'this' post, not previous. Treatment could mean other things to those that don't know the process, ie, shots, decontamination, or such.

When someone knows something definate, please post!!! The 2 boys "of ours" that have come home are both having troubles, nightmares...One was just 18 when he left to go to Iraq, (youngest daughter's best guy pal) turned 19 while there, and he is having trouble coming to grips that he had to kill..he talks to my daughter, and she has been very good about showing no reaction to what he had to do, but I think he needs someone who is trained to know how to help him...his parents don't see it, or don't want to.
