Hillary hater now has a Web site he can call his own (STOP HER NOW.COM)
NY Daily News ^ | 5/3/05

Posted on 05/03/2005 10:13:46 AM PDT by areafiftyone

ALBANY — A veteran GOP operative launched an anti-Hillary Rodham Clinton Web site Tuesday, complete with an unflattering photo and a warning that she and her husband are trying to “pull the wool over America’s eyes once again.”

Meanwhile, Clinton (Click here for her Web site) was out with a fundraising letter claiming Arthur Finkelstein’s “Stop Her Now” effort is part of a growing mound of evidence that Republicans “are prepared to do anything to defeat me.”

“We know one thing for sure, the Republicans and their right-wing allies are going to be hitting us hard with false charges,” the former first lady wrote to potential donors, calling herself “the Republicans’ number one target in 2006.”

Clinton is seeking re-election next year to the New York Senate seat she won in 2000 and Republicans claim she wants to use that race as a stepping stone to a 2008 presidential run. She insists her sole focus is on getting re-elected.

Finkelstein’s Web site appeals for donations. On Friday, Finkelstein aide William Black said the “Stop Her Now” effort was hoping to raise $10 million this year.

“All of America has a tremendous stake in this effort, especially our courageous soldiers overseas,” the Web site said. “The Clintons national defense policies left us weak and vulnerable in a dangerous and hostile world.”

Finkelstein has long been a top adviser to Gov. Pataki and worked on the campaigns of former Sens. Alfonse D’Amato and Jesse Helms of North Carolina.

New York Republicans have yet to come up with a Clinton challenger for 2006. Neither Pataki nor former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani has expressed any interest.

In another development, The New York Times reported Tuesday that Peter Paul, a former Clinton supporter whose claims are behind the recent indictment of her 2000 campaign finance director, has joined forces with a conservative California group to launch the “Hillary Clinton Accountability Project.”

Paul hosted a major fundraiser in Hollywood for Clinton’s first Senate campaign and finance director David Rosen has been charged with underreporting costs associated with the event. He is scheduled to go on trial next week. Paul also has a civil lawsuit against the Clinton campaign.

“Peter Paul is a man with an impressive record of felony convictions,” David Kendall, a lawyer for the Clintons, said when asked about Paul’s new anti-Clinton effort. “Most of his civil suit has already been dismissed and the remainder has no merit.”

That may be so, but Hillary Clintoon stands for nothing except preserving and protecting the welfare-regulatory state status quo at all costs. Intentionally keeping people on welfare should be a crime unto itself.

How do you know that he isn't the "good one" of the pair? I believe that while he would stand by quietly if someone was killed for his benefit, she could actually pull the trigger and enjoy it.

Thank you for affirming your election bid for 2008, Hillary.

Of course we're trying to defeat you; we won't allow you're tyranny on our nation.

He is smarter.
Hillary proved how stupid she was by marrying that piece of shit -- and putting up with the decades of unmitigated humiliation from him. She's also dysfunctional -- but then, that's why she stays with him.

How does wanting to stop someone from garnering more political power equate to "hate"?

The dems ran and lost on a "hate Bush" agenda.

It might be wiser to run a positive campaign than just a "hate Hillary" campaign.

Why do these people 'hate' me? Why don't they let me alone to rule over the American People? My friends, Teddy Kennedy and John Kerry, want to make sure every woman in America has an abortion and I want to give it to them. My health care plan would have guaranteed that I would have chosen their doctors for them. I want the village to raise children, not their parents. Why don't they see the 'good' I am trying to do? To make America as Liberal as I am. Why?

I agree. We tried that with the Clintons when they were in office and it did nothing. Of course Clinton had impreachment hearings but he was NOT kicked out of office. Hillary got away with everything and the Repubs looked like a bunch of RIGHT WING NUTJOBS!!

If we want to get rid of Hillary we have to use her "Do Nothing" Senate record against her. Its the only thing we can use.

I don't like the fact that we are being portrayed as "haters" - and I believe it's being done to try to paint us as equal to them .. the Bush-haters.

Don't let them do it.

I don't hate Hillary - I hate what she stands for and what she believes in - the subversion of America to the radical left.

I agree. Finkelstein, as the right's Soros, is not being wise at all.

Hillary thrives on negative attention. Anger energizes her and will feed those on the left. We are having our own problems trying to figure out who to run on this side of the aisle, and as we mull that over, we are specifically looking for someone who can beat her, rather than looking for the individual who can best represent us.

I say it would be best to let the Dems expend their energy and resources fighting amongst each other and to concentrate on creating as many positives for our side as possible.

That "husband" made it possible for her to become the 42nd President of the United States.

If we use any of that old stuff we will never win in 2008. Hillary will be able to use that stuff against us calling us the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. She will get a ton of sympathy if we attack her on anything other than her Senate record.

If NY Republicans like pataki advisor Finkestein really wanted to stop Hillary they would have been grooming a candidate for the past 6 years instead of doing nothing.

I won't give one red cent to Finkelstein. It's his advice that turned Pataki into a pro-death penalty, cut taxes semi conservative to a extreme liberal Republican.

Exactly! A Hillary bashing sight is not what we Repubs need. We can bash Hillary any old time right here on Free Republic or by Freeping her. We need a good candidate to beat her. Right now she is going to win the 2006 election and she will go on to 2008 if we don't get a good opponent.

If the Clintons eliminated all their close associates who have been convicted of felonies, they'd have no more remaining close associates than John Gotti would have had if he'd done the same thing. Peter Paul's convictions qualified him to be one of their closest associates.

Well .. I don't agree at all.

Her previous actions point to "character" and "integrity" - both of which she does not have. Unless it's pointed out to the public - the voting record will not be enough to cause people to think about voting against her.

The dems specialty is digging up past stuff and smearing people with it .. time for Hillary to have a taste of her own medicine.

Her worst is her literally satanic obsession with turning our republic into a tyrannical dictatorship ran by the world government worse than the Third Reich.
