Give the Tin Foil Hat crowd anything to chew on and they will bite with their pocket books.

This thread is a good way to bring out the trolls on this forum.

And we don't have Johnnie Cochran around anymore to invoke the "Chewbacca Defense."

I found the first one interesting just based on the political conflict that was going on. Im into politics so the story was interesting in those terms.

I dont know how that appeals to 10 yr olds but the first two were very more adult themed of what the conflict really was.

I think the Simpsons did a spoof on it where the they were trying to watch it and it was at that senate room with the Princess talking endlessly about the trade federation and the illegalities and blah blah blah...basically saying the first movie was drop dead boring because of the plot.

I dont know how a 10 yr old would be entertained by that until Jar Jar popped in.

>>Let's face it.. the height of the Star Wars series was THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

Agreed.... Excellent movie, even for it's day.. Awesome sets, etc.

One of my all time favorite movies..

we can thank Ray Park (and improvements in technology) for that. He's a genius when it comes to choreographing fights.

Nope, he doesn't have them. He's done with star wars. Among star wars fans, the Trilogy of books written by Timothy Zahn is generally considered to be episode 7-9.

Despite the staunch enthusiasm of fans of the original Star Wars, Lucas said he never really entertained the fact that there would ever be more than one film

Yeah, right... that's why the original was called "Episode 4"!!!!

Then it's time for George to step back and commission someone to make the movies. I wan tto see what someone else, not burned out, can do with the story....even if it's Pixar or something.

Are you inferring that if you think EP I & II sucked and did not live up to the hype, you are a troll?

I'm not saying he didn't make tons of money, face it, some people will buy anything.

Most folks I know aren't necessarily Star Wars fans, just good movie fans. No one has bothered seeing the 2nd one after being tortured with TPM, or will bother with the third one either.

Being 'successful' isn't a destination, it's a *journey*, and for me Lucas got to the end of the line a LONG time ago.

Just the view from my neck o' the woods.

The best part of "Attack of the Clones" was Bad-Ass Yoda and the fight scene between Yoda and Christopher Lee.

Others may be less glad the saga has finally come to an end. In the first published review of Revenge of the Sith, filmmaker, Kevin Smith described the film as "so satisfyingly tragic, you'll think you're watching 'Othello' or 'Hamlet'".

Yeah, right. Come on.

he replies that he expects it to fail.

Sounds reasonable. After all, the last two stunk up the place.
