Former Bears coach Mike Ditka robbed May 4, 2005 — Chicago police are looking for the person who stole a big chunk of money from former Bears coach Mike Ditka.

Police say someone took $30,000 in cash from a black bag inside Ditka's condo in the city.

He and his wife had been out of town since November. They returned home Monday to find that the money was gone.

Yo, Mike, there's this crazy building downtown, it's got lots of bricks, armed guards, nicely dressed employees, free coffee. Called a BANK. Might want to look into it.

That was my question. Sure wouldn't leave such a large amount of cash lying around, especially if I was going to be gone for several months.

That's almost as bad as Paris Hilton leaving hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry laying around her apartment, only to get robbed.

I can't even imagine what kind of freebies Mike Ditka would get if he strolled into a bank in downtown Chicago. The mind reels. He'd get all kinds of stuff for showing up, not to mention if he deposited $30K.

What a moran.
