After Action: White House Correspondence Dinner
The D.C. Chapter's Seventh Annual FReep of the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) Dinner took place on Saturday afternoon and evening.
In attendance were Kristinn, TgslTakoma, Exit 148,Staytrue ,Billf, gunsareok, Doctor Raoul, BufordP, Always Free, zelig, nutmeg, Jimmy Valentine’s Brother and one more freeper (whose name eludes me).

A limosine with Jane Fonda drove by and we serenaded her with a chorus of "Hanoi Jane"
Matt Drudge stopped by to chat with freepers Doctor Raoul, Kristinn, gunsareok and tgslTakoma.

We got a surprising amount of support from the attendees and we had more positive feedback than negative with one guy who applauded us for 19 seconds as he walked by.
The last picture is of Jimmy Valentine’s brother panhandling as an out of work New York Times Reporter. One person actually donated a dollar to complete the fun.

You did an excellent job with those signs. As people passed us - either on foot, or especially in cars - you could see them intently reading each sign closely. If they were journalists, they were probably looking for their names on the "Liars" and/or "Losers" lists!
Good job, you guys! As I watched C-SPAN's coverage, I did notice a few libs come in with sour looks on their faces, until they walked up to the cameras. I hope you all were the cause.
These people are having entirely too much fun. I gotta make it up there for one.
One of the benefits of my eventual retirement from the military will be the freedom to Freep. I look forward to it.

Uma Pemmaraju is a Fox News Channnel "news update anchor and substitute host for various programs" (Uma Pemmaraju biography)
She was very friendly to us, and is very beautiful and petite. She was one of the few women not dressed in black for the WHCA dinner. As I remember, she had on a gorgeous golden dress with a beautiful wrap that I would guess was hand made in India. She is stunning!
I came within a hair of joining y'all at the last minute--even was checking airlines for a good flight. However, life intervented, and I just couldn't get away. My loss!
